You said it. Before this announcement I was starting to give up hope on officially licensed 1/6 Matrix figures.

And I think a black suit Smith would be better, if only for display purposes.
:goodpost: And I agree about the suit, I'm concerned any other color won't translate to 1/6 properly or they'll pick the wrong shade and it'll look silly.

I've always found the prop vs screen debate funny. Props and wardrobe create pieces to match a directors vision of what he wants on screen. The on screen appearance is the end all be all. So forget the green suit and keep debating black or grey. That's all that really matters anyway. lol

. . .

In other words... YES, they're green. And yes, it's important.
In Reloaded even the color of Smith's suit changed to black because that's Neo's color and because he wasn't Agent anymore.
Actual Agents still wore original glasses and green suits.

Neo was selling out preorders, smith might do worse, barely no one’s snatching up palpatine, ill just wait, i already got darth/tarkin, neo but neo is far out

I pre-ordered to reserve my spot. They really are going to need to fix those glasses though. I was hoping to have the capability of displaying him after he resurrects, but if this is all we ever get... I’d rather not miss out.

Bbts sells out because it gets its merchandise from Sideshow, since they are the main distributor, plus i have been noticing that BBTS have been jacking up their prices as of late.

Well is it though? it doesn't look green at all?................is there anyone here that has the figure? because in pictures, its grey?

This is listed as the Imini version in google images, either this isn't actually the right figure and some other company made this or one of us is about to find out they're color blind because this to me looks straight up grey.....

It's that shade of green that can easily look grey in pics. Here's a rough pic of the suit, the back of the shelf is a very dark grey:

I’m thinking the green is the colour correction that was heavily utilised throughout the film. Behind the scenes show black suits.

I have the Iminime green suit and it is indeed very green. If you use a flash in the picture, it probably washes out the color. I can't believe though that the suit in the picture you have here is really that suit. Might be the Iminime headsculpt, but the suit looks wrong. Could be the particular type of lighting though.

hehe.
Riddick, you're doing it wrong. you should quote Encyclopedias instead of just saying your thoughts, Encyclopedias always have more weight and value though they are written by common people, too.
you should know it from the Ironpants experience.
Agent Smith initially appeared to have been destroyed by Neo, but makes a calculated return with greatly altered abilities and complete liberation from his prior restrictions as an Agent. His appearance changes as well: he wears more angular sunglasses and a black suit instead of the typical green-gray (charcoal) color worn by Agents. Smith also lacks the characteristic earpiece worn by Agents, showing he is now "unplugged".

(easily found in google by "matrix agent smith suit color" BTW)

p.s. black tie with green video filter versus not black suit clearly visible in M1.

So maybe HT should just shipped the figure with a white suit and include various dyes to fans can knock themselves out......

Yeah, ideally it'd be the best to just include two suits and two pairs of glasses.
I sent them an email. Feel free to do the same, guys. :)

I doubt we will see any real improvements to the sunglasses , even though it’s an iconic part of the look.

It’s just too expensive to do them any better. And they become very fragile if you make the out of metal and plastic. I bought dozens of sunglasses for my custom Men In Black....all were pretty bad, but the really great ones were 80.00 each.

I can only imagine what kind of breakage HT would have to deal with if they put out those types.

Yeah I know, and of people are expecting the quality level they have to expect that price.
