Looks better to me than the Endgame Cap does, even with the 2012 costume, and I prefer the Endgame look!

Thor, more than anyone else in the line I think needed a major update. The headsculpt is awful on the original and now they know how to do the arms better.

2022 is 10th anniversary of the first Avengers film. I will bet real money that HT will use that opportunity to announce 2.0 for most characters. I also believe HT could possibly make a Helicarrier BD DC Mark VI as well. So hold your horses!

Cool. As long they ”announce” the Avengers figure as 20th anniversary because that’s probably when they’ll all end up releasing. But seriously, I hope they clear out their backlog before cluttering up production and undercutting people’s budgets.

I suspected it a little in the blogger pics but It became a little more glaring in this in-hand video I found on YouTube:

I guess they thought Cap was the one most in need of an upgrade, but frankly they all really needed one.

I do think Cap needed the upgrade, but I am guessing they also thought folks might double dip to re-create the Cap vs. Cap scene in Endgame. No other upgrade offered that option... I bought it to upgrade my current 1.0 Cap and will sell that off as soon as the 2.0 hits my hands. If you're looking for a 1.0 Cap it'll be on the Bay at a bargain price here soon.

Yeah, it does seem a bit oversized now that you mention it...

Also, is the suit material made from the same material used for the EG Cap? The pseudo fabric?

The figure looks amazing with the helmet sculpt. The unmasked head looks off. The shoulders are kinda off and it doesn't help as well.

I'm not blown away but I guess my expectations are too high because none of the Hot Toys Cap figures have enthralled me and probably no future figure will either. So...what to do. I can't very well have an Avengers collection and not have a Captain America. So I'll have to suck it up and buy something.

Honestly, if you are getting one, I would go for EG Cap as the definitive version.
