Hot Toys... More Bruce Lee coming!

Kato looks good, but FOF is almost as if EB has taken a step back. Sculpt looks almost nothing like bruce, IMO. Especially the angry sculpt. The so called skin tech looks like normal coated plastic to me.

Having had in hand almost all of EB's bruce stuffs, the best of all would be ETD ver B. yes, its got red cheeks, but Im assuming thats how bruce is when he was shooting on hans island, with all those sun

Im sorry bud cant agree with you on that FoF's angry sculpt IMO was the better of the two, you can easily use that sculpt and compare with the posterlike picture of Bruce on the inside flap of the FoF package, also compare it to that angry jaw jutting face from all his older films, The Big Boss specially you'll see its spot on... this is my opinion you dont have to agree with it but yeah EtD B is a great sculpt too...

I'm a BL fanatic as well. I can understand if some people have a hard time seeing BL in the old EB figures since they don't all look that great IMO. Just take a look at the first GoD for example. That was aweful IMO. You'll notice once you get the new offerings from HT and EB what other people have been saying. I do agree with the other poster that said FoF and Kato are the best to date, but even at that, the new HT and EB will put them to shame judging by the pics...and yes I have some of the old ones in my collection. As for Dino saying it's off, well, I think he's a little off but that's another story.

the problem is that if you have to explain to almost everyone that it looks like BL then it must not look like BL .

i also seen BL movies alot over the years .i just don't know how many times because i was to engulf in watching the film to tally up the total

No, the problem is that they dont even know what Bruce Lee properly looks like.
Simple as that.
I dont actually count the times ive watched his movies but I can pretty much guarantee its over a 100 times each.

The thing I dont like about the FOF head sculpts is the paint.
I dont know what it is but it just doesnt look as good to me...looks kind of amateurish compared to EBs usual offerings.
The likeness is fine...but I still MUCH prefer Kato and ETD A.

Thats why you see WOTD, ETD etc's sculpt going for more in the secondary market such as ebay $100-$200. While last time i check, the FOF sculpts were going for $20-40 bucks.

Honestly, thats NOT the reason, the main reason is they are older releases and thus rarer in the secondary market, most ebay buyers buy being influenced on a lot of things, moreso with how rare and valuable it is, by your logic Kato head sculpts should have prices higher than EtD and WOTD. Its not Kato and FoF figures go cheap as they are more recent PLUS lot of shops still have them in stock (which stemmed from the fact that a lot more editions were made than the older ones) since you own most EB Bruce's, Im sure you can put all the head sculpts side by side and give us a picture of it... that'll help illustrate my point. Arnie just got better with the sculpts and the releases are a testament to that...

However if you see a recent wave of Ebay prices after HT's announcement, Enterbay's are selling lower now, some evil bayers who put EXORBITANT prices are now lowering their costs, ha a week back I saw the first GoD being bid and won for $235!! that would be unimaginable 2 months back...

..and the prices will keep on tumbling! It's great to see a bit of competition bringing some realism to these prices. I paid nearly 100 bucks for my FoF HS a few months back, which wasn't a good deal but about the going rate - now, like Hydeous says, they're a fraction of that (though you'd be lucky to score one for 20 bucks, cheapest I've seen is 40). And every bit of EB kit has taken a similar hit, around 50% of what was being asked a couple months back.

The time that has passed since the last widely available EB Bruce (FoF) and even since the Nokia GoD is like dog years in the 1/6 world - what HT and EB will be serving up next will blow them all out of the water.

Do you think the ARNIE KIM Hand Made figures will ever drop ? I have seen some go for $4,000 to $6,000 . It is limited but it is just crazy for a 12' figure

I say that if you can afford it, then go for it. The only thing that holds us back is the money, really. If I were rich, I would buy ALL figures HThas ever released no matter the price. Well, that's because I like everything anyways.

Right now I'm not rich, so, hell yeah they are expensive, and I don't think prices would drop, just wait till arnie dies, the prices would double.

I don't think they'll ever drop, simply because of their historical value. Given that Arnie will likely enhance his reputation now that he's with Hot Toys, his early Lees will continue to fetch big bucks so long as there is a 1/6 market and fan-base.

Besides, I reckon 4-6K on a 12 foot figure is a steal

I have seen Arnie's blog and his Handmade figures are pretty cool. As for Arnie not being around anymore, well that is not going to happen considering how much bucks he is probably brining in these days.

Iam quite interested in his underground Handmade figure. I was lucky as I have one from his ETD line . No , I am not rich, I just only collect cetain lines and I try not to collect everything that comes out . L)

Well just to illustrate my point i HAD to post these pics that I found Of a guy selling it on Ebay, its the FoF calm head with WoTD hairpiece, now tell me if THAT doesnt look like Bruce in WoTD, the original WoTD hs looks NOTHING like Bruce when compared to this... this is why i say FoF has the best headsculpt along with Kato. It captures Bruce's likeness like none other

Also for those who think FoF sculpts are some of the worst ones, heres something more... Arnie updates his older figures like WoTD where he believes the sculpt and likeness are poor with repaints of FoF production head sculpts... eg the WoTD (2008?) as he calls it..

and here's a repaint of FoF by the artist showing the incredible sculpt he's done, the much vaunted EtD A or B as good as they may be dont even come close to the stunning likeness

I cant understand how being such hardcore Bruce Lee fans like we all are here, and probably having seen his movies so many times you all cant seem to see that likeness wise FoF and Kato are the best made till now...

People dislike the FoF sculpt? I thought there were complaints about the angry sculpt in that particular set, but the standard/neutral head was great.

Anyone know if Arnie is confirmed to be working on HT ETD headsculpt? I am very interested if he is.

You know what, I seen the neutral FOF sculpt again in person at my friends house(havent seen it for a few months) and I have to put it up there with Kato as being my favourite.
It is better than the ETDs.
The only thing that bothers me about it now is the eyes.
It might just be a problem with my friends one but you cant move his right eye to look up. he always has to look down.
It seems like the plastic is too thick on one side, which limits movement of the eye lever.
