Thanks, I had a similar pose with his staff facing down when he had more room. Mandarin has a battle damaged Iron Man helmet on its way to replace that faceplate- prob under his foot but who knows. Wish I had an Abomination behind them.

^^^ Because they probably have no plans to make more versions of those "minor worthless characters" as you put it, whereas with Tony, they can keep making them and people will buy them, and so they need to have room for "improvement," so that people will keep wanting the next "better" one, and so forth.

I would be surprised if they backtracked just because it's Marvel, the masters of the bait and switch. I think they are most likely just going to have more fun with it.

Even if they tried to pull something like that, it would fail. Trevor was a massive disappointment for many and I don't think you can undo that first impression.

I would be fine with this version being killed by the actual Mandarin, who would probably be beyond p!ssed off at the besmirching of his name in such a fashion - but I doubt that will happen. Marvel is now invested with the Kingsley Mandarin, and its unlikely the character will get a new face at this point. I would just prefer him not have anything to do with the Middle East, because a Middle eastern villain named "the Mandarin" is just plain dumb.

If they salvage the character, no problems at missing this figure because at some point they will make a new one.

I don't see another Kingsley figure being made regardless of what Marvel ends up doing with him. As awesome as this figure is I don't think it sold well, which isn't a good sign for second versions.

At any rate I'd also like to see the emergence of the true Mandarin wielding the power of the rings once and for all.

I hope so. Was actually hoping for a wink at the end of the movie. To throw a classic Villian away for a cheap joke was pretty lousy.
