I hated it. I'm not a mainstream viewer, and I was technically "oohing and ahhing" over the Vito Corleone. It served as a stark reminder of my idiocy. I remember when that figure was still available, even after being released, on Sideshow, and I could kick myself. It's like "we get it, it's one of your best pieces. Stop rubbing the fact that we can't get it any more in our faces." Seriously, though, if ever there were a figure deserving of a re-release or a 2.0, that's the one. To this day, I think that's one of the greatest 1/6th figures ever made, and, if I ever hit the jackpot, it's one that I'd probably be willing to pay the secondary prices for.
Anyway, I didn't actually hate it. I thought it was pretty cool, actually. There's your validation if anyone ever asks why you waste your money. "Well, clearly it was a big enough waste to be featured on CNN."
I would love a Don Vito 2.0, a young Vito 1.0, all three of his boys (multiple Michaels) and probably Tom Hagen. As it is, we get drips and drabs of figures that aren't associated with the MCU, Nolan Batman, SW and the like, so the odds are so very, very slim.
That also goes for John McClane, Heat, Goodfellas, Casino, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, V for Vendetta...oh, forget it, the list is far too long.
A Sam Rothstein in his pink blazer shirt and tie would probably be my grail figure, or a Jake Lomatta from Raging Bull, but I think the Sam Rothstein would probably look cooler on display.
They also show some Sideshow figures, but don't ever mention Sideshow.
It's scary that the price she mentioned per fig is $280.... oh Howard.
If they can't get something as simple as this right....
Imagine how many facts they get wrong with big stories... or stuff that really matters.
