I think as long as we get reliable and informed translations, we’re fine. Imo, it’s the people who misread things and over blow things most of the time.
True enough, it would still be nice to have them clear some things up because as of this moment, there's the original Chinese post claiming InArt said the rest of the fellowship is unlikely to be made and then someone on Facebook claiming they want to do all 9 members.

WillFoxification mentioned in his latest livestream that he’s suppose to be doing an Inart interview before Chinese new year, so it’s possible we’ll get some more info from that within the next week or two.
Expect John to give a mix of conflicting, confusing and disappointing information.

That figure you've waited through years of conventions for? Cancelled.

That license they previously said they're getting? Cancelled.

That preorder you're saving for? Delayed to 2026.

I’ve always been vocal against misinformation, so yeah, this is what ends up happening.

I don’t expect them to clear things up on their public and official pages, but perhaps John can elaborate about completing the Fellowship during the next live-stream with the WillFoxification YouTube channel, if he’s asked about this. But note, Will only pulls up highlighted questions via Super Chats. Those are the only fan questions he reads to John. If not, then we’re at his panel’s mercy and most of the time, they don’t ask good questions themselves lol

Yes, because as of right now their Q&A has stirred up more questions than answers.

I think Jon is an amiable guy, but his interviews are always pretty hollow. I never glean much information from them. He often refuses to answer or talks about something else. Sometimes I wonder why InArt doesn't just release statements about upcoming plans instead of sending someone like Jon to give jarbled answers to questions.

Eh, most of the time, he gives obvious information (obvious to me anyway). It’s not his fault the panels he’s invited to chat with ask dumb questions and don’t understand business practices. I remember when John was discussing product output and asked if they knew what ‘critical path’ is and they just sat there, not knowing what the hell he was talking about, but imo, he provided pretty good (and obvious) information and insight about their processes.

I forget which channel it was but it was some dude named Chasen? And he had Jon on a live-stream and it was refreshing cause this Chasen (?) guy understands business 101 better than Will and co. It’s more productive if both parties have some sort of basic understanding, but imo, Will doesn’t, so we end up getting what we get: a waste of time with no real information or insight, nothing that we don’t already know or could’ve figured out ourselves at least.

If it happens it’ll most likely be people sending super chats asking if there’s any plans to get the marvel or Star Wars licenses for the 100th time:ROFLMAO:.

I’m sure someone will ask about completing the LOTR fellowship line though, and specifically Gimli. I know many here were disappointed with the recent news, so hopefully we can get some further clarification. I personally would like to know if they plan to keep doing Dune 1 or move on to part 2.

The collecting community or at least people who post on HT and InArt socials make baffling requests.

More Jokers, Magnum PI, Rey from TFA 2.0 among others.

I enjoy seeing companies get a kicking on there for things like Torchgate. They need reminders that fans won't just accept everything and notice everything. I am loving moving eyes and seamless arms becoming the norm now.

The OP from the original Chinese thread said GtW could still be made, but that was about it, no confirmation that it was coming. I'm just being a bit hopeful for the sake of people that want them to continue making LoTR figures.

You bring up a good point I've also given some thought to, why seemingly abandon LoTR for the moment but make Jessica Atreides, Sirius Black, another MJ... Could the licensor fees be cheaper for some of those when compared to LoTR? Maybe? Maybe InArt is happy giving lines a chance up until they stop selling, which is a pretty common business tactic. Let's see, they made Gandalf and Aragorn, those seemed to sell well, so they give us Legolas and Nazgul, which perhaps didn't do as well. Perhaps if Frodo and Sam sell amazingly well they may yet go back to the drawing board to complete the Fellowship or at the very least give people more figures from the franchise, the question is, will they sell well?

The Michael Jackson look they're doing is Smooth Criminal, which is one of his most popular looks and something a lot of collectors (myself included) would probably pick up if they're a fan. Also, they do have a world wide license for Jackson also, so that's probably influencing their decision making. Sirius Black and Jessica Atreides are unexpected choices.

Was Denji/CSM on display at this event also like the one last week? Can’t find any pictures

I wish people would upload pics of everything but I guess people only take pictures of what they want to see
Not as far as I can tell, oddly. You'd figure an event in Tokyo would feature an anime-centric line, but as many have said here, Inart's aims with these events is kind of puzzling.

I saw yet another conflicting post of someone claiming to clarify the Dune Jessica remarks.

It goes as follows- the InArt rep was asked ‘if there were no budgetary or sales-expectation restraints, what character would you make?’ and they said Jessica because she’s integral to the Dune story.

So yeah- nothing but more questions than answers at this point.

So the way I read that, is that Jessica is not in the works lol. Just Chani.

Exactly 💯

Ah, that makes a great deal more sense. Shame, 'cause she has so many looks that would make for a striking figure.

I’ll say this, but when you think about it, isn’t Neo the only one you really need to represent The Matrix IP? I mean, any bonus characters would be welcomed of course, but Neo works as a standalone piece just fine, imo.

As for Game of Thrones, I kinda figured only Daenerys and Jon would be the ones to be made by INART. Seeing as that’s most likely the case, it also makes sense they’d be S8 based since well, ya know, they’re actually together during their time in Winterfell.

As a fan of ALL GoT and Jon x Dany, I’m content with these looks myself, even though I would’ve preferred if they had done the earlier seasons and make all the mains in their most “definitive” looks even if they’re all mismatched together. I also think INART and their domestic market actually received S8 well.
True, Neo is the one essential from the Matrix and could work as standalone.

Personally, I mainly need the 3 good guys and Agent Smith.

In addition to HT, I ended buying all the 3rd party figures too for Trinity, Morpheus, Agent Smith (as well as Neo) and bought multiples of each of character (between 3 to 5) to display in different scenes/outfits (lobby, dodge this, on bike, etc).

This is what I was getting at earlier, a lot of context is lost when you have people just posting bullet points online instead of the full answers that were given. If I was there and heard this response I'd think "Cool but I don't think they'll make her." Others have taken it as confirmation they will, so now I'm less likely to believe what that Chinese poster wrote as fact and more so their interpretation of InArt's replies. Still, they should start recording some of these events or post the Q&As on their Youtube or something, so people can get the full context of their answers.

I think it’d be cool to see the mains, but I think I’d be satisfied with just Neo. For a second, I’d like to have Trinity, based on the scenes when they go rescue Morpheus.

Definitely an IP that is worth exploring by IA, imo!
