I'm impressed that they are even doing this line. HT doesn't take many chances nowadays.

I had know idea that anyone even had an interest in buying figures that well cost $150+ from the film Platoon? Is there that much interest in Platoon? I've never heard of one person here that mentioned it even once. Sorry but I would rather see them do more Rocky and Rambo figs, so much more potential.

I saw the Charlie character and it looks great but I would rather see them do the russian villians from Rambo or Rocky 1 and Rocky 2 figs.

It's a funny hobby isn't it. I have no Rambo or Rocky figures and have zero interest in them but will buy every Platoon figure they put out as long as they are priced what I am willing to pay. I would much rather pay 150 bucks for a figure that came with a helmet, BDUs, magazine pouches, helmet, rifle, bayonet, rucksack, rocket launcher, grenades, and lace up boots then a figure with a robe, trunks, gloves, and boots. But that's just me.

I have all of the SS Platoon figures. It was the line that got me into collecting SS 1/6 figures. It will be tempting when HT figures come out, but SS Platoon figures are still great to this day. I really hope that HT will tackle a few characters not done by SS already. They usually pick strange choices, so I have my fingers crossed.

Platoon and Full Metal Jacket were the two license I asked Hot Toys to consider when I submitted the suggestion on their web site (Movie Masterpiece + Military = two birds killed with one stone). They actually responded to me saying that it was an idea they'd be interested in exploring and would discuss with the design team. You guys can thank me later.

I wish they would release official freakin' specs for this and the other half dozen new figures shown at the shows which I think were like a month ago.

There are already too many figures announced already; a handful of which already reach into 2011.

I would say with no specs yet on the Platoon figures, there's a very high probability we won't see them released until 2011. If this will tell you anything, the upcoming HT Iron Man Mark VI is now available for pre-order and is not slated to be released until Q1 2011.

I'll get BARNES for sure, but it will be a tough one to beat, that is one of Sideshow's greatest in my opinion. The TA-50, uniform and real boots look incredible, but I hope they make a better M16; the vent holes on top of the fore-grips indicate a solid cast. I

With the news of Hot Toys Chris Taylor Collectible Figure from the "Platoon" movie coming out, My siggestion for Hot Toys next Charlie Sheen figure is Charlie Sheen as Daniel 'Dan' Saxon/Sid from the "Beyond the Law" movie.
My all time favorite Charlie Sheen film!

Why are they making Lerner??? There are better characters in the film with bigger roles like King and Junior, Bunny and Red etc.
