i hear ya dude. and i think you're absolutely right. just coz it's johnny depp. to be honest i'd love to see a whole load of figures from platoon, but bunny and rhah would have been awesome additions to the line. even o'neill. i guess we should count our lucky stars we're even getting four. dare i mention watchmen again?

Well yes, obviously anything Johnn Depp related for whatever reason will sell.

But his screentime in this movie has to be under 2 minutes, and what? 4 lines?

Vs a character like Red, who is pretty important, also a well known actor and memorable character with some funny behavior, Barne's right hand man, and ends up taking over the platoon after the end fight...

Lerner was in arguably the most powerful scene in the movie, but still not even close to worthy of a figure at this point early on.

Look at the title for Barne(s) and Elias, it says "Serenger". Lerner's title is "Specialist". So maybe they were trying to spell "Sergeant"!?

I thought it maybe chinese for "Sergeant" but it seems thats not the case. Kinda wierd, but "Barnes" is his name, I didn't think a last name changes based on language.

Barnes is the only one I will definately be picking up at this point. Elias will be tempting but something about Hans Landa and Barnes will display well togeather.

...and I said I wouldn't get drawn into military 1/6 scale again, this is the beginning of the end of my coke and hooker fund.

Yes but that will most likely be it. Its a pleasant surprise even that both Barnes and Elias are being made because its not beyond Hot Toys to leave out key characters.
