Hot Toys Predator 1 figures coming!

I think that the only thing to disappoint me on this will be a lack of accessoires when compared to the other Preds. Hope that they'll invest the sculpting/budget that would normally go on the accessoires on the rest of the figure...

Well they've already done most of him for the Pred 2 Elder so theirs not much more they need to spend the budget on. I hope the fewer accessories means he'll be a bit more affordable then the rest, no reason for them to ask the Pred. 2 Elder or Wolf price tag on this one.

no , listen if hot toys would , can put the right amount of accessoires, if him in the film has only 2 effective weapon it don't mean that he don't has some affordable accesoires
if you put 2 pair of interchangable mandibles, the working openable medikit ( he use it in one of most iconic scene ) the bag of skulls ( it is seen in the film ) the skull spinal cord like the one has the p2 ( it is in another of most iconic scene ) the skulls necklace , obviously mask , some hands and you have a right ammounts of accesoires, yes it isn't a BD P2 or an avp ammount of accesoires, but it's just right as he has in the film...

Oh yeah, forgot about the bag of skulls. That would be a great touch, along with a medkit (though I don't know if they should make the tools removeable or not; it would be awesome but so freaking easy to lose)...Oh well, time to hunt down some accessoires on Ebay when I get him.

I think the body is too small for Arnold, the head looks fine to me.

The head looks fine, but the proportions of the muscular body just aren't right for Arnie. It's really meant for characters that have defined muscles but not superly developed ones, like Rocky and Rambo. Arnold has uber muscles and will require a unique body type.

Totally agree. Hot Toys will hopefully design a muscular body that is distinctly Arnold's "Mr. Universe" physique. Still, for a custom it's a pretty nice figure. There are much nicer 1/6 scale weapons to choose from out there, though.

One thing I'd love to see on a P1 would be a really meaty set of wristblades. You only see it properly right at the end of the film (when he pins Dutch), but the original Predator's blades seem to share the 'double extension' ability of the AVP Predators. Up til now, Hot Toys have constrained themselves by having retractable blades - but it would be a nice touch to have an extra knife gauntlet with longer blades fixed open.

Absolutely, it's a great custom, quite impressive. Were the base body more Arnold looking, i'd probably be totally blow away by this figure, it's the best Dutch custom I've seen.

It is a nice custom , though the head used looks like the Frontline headsculpt , which is indeed a little on the large side .I used a H.T muscle body ( Rambo's) for my Dutch and it's not as pronounced due to the head being considerably smaller . It's still not perfectly " Arnold-Like" , but it's still the best option until the H.T version turns up !

( This pic is a W.I.P , I've since repainted the head and body and gotten more accurate weapons !)
