The new predator I'm most curious about to come from Tsang is Wolf, since I want to see how his "creative" mind will do this unique sculpt. Will he make 2 full mandibles? That would be absolutely ridiculous, but we never know until it is done. I'm glad to have the Cleaner Version which has a perfect sculpt and I love that figure, though.

There's fears on here that an updated P2 Elder will go the same way of using the same generic mandibles; as used on Classic, Shadow and P2. Their first P2 Elder release is probs their most accurate Pred headsculpt.

It was a great sculpt. It surprises me that I haven't seen a bash using that headsculpt with the newly developed bodies.

What was the difference between the Cleaner version and the other version? Why should he do two "full sets" of mandibles?

What's everyone's impressions on the NECA 1/4 jungle hunter? Is it worth picking up? I'm definitely going to spring for the 1/4 Ram pred, but I've all but made up my mind not to get the P2 since I plan on getting the Hot Toys version, and haven't gotten the jungle hunter since I have the Hot Toys classic.

It certainly is. It wouldn't harm to have two versions of P2 either; anyway the NECA 1/4 P2 will be out months before the HT P2 so it will fill the gap nicely.:yess:

There were several differences. One of the differences was that the Cleaner Kit Version has removable closed and opened mandibles. The first version has fixed mandibles. The other differences are in the accessories. The Cleaner Kit Version has a cleaner kit that opens and has removable stuff inside. The first version has 2 cannons, the Cleaner has just one. The first version has an extended and bendable whip, while the Cleaner has only a rolled up version of the whip to be hanging on the waist. The Cleaner has a diorama base with an alien head. Not sure of any other differences, but surely there's one or two more.

I was joking when I said a full set of mandibles for Wolf because Joseph Tsang "likes" to do it his own way as we've seen on all his predators. That's why I'm mostly curious for the new version he will do for this one. The first and Cleaner versions weren't done by him (thank God...).

I have the Neca 1/4 Predator 1, closed mouth version. It's an awesome and very accurate figure. IMO the closed mouth version is the best of the 3 they released. But articulation wise it's very poor, it has a tendency to fall (according to a lot of people, but mine never fell, although I keep it in a way to avoid that). The paint apps are not HT quality level, but very good IMO. The netting is terrible, it's like cheap fruit plastic. Accessories wise it's just an extra hand... The dreads are soft plastic and it sucks... The joints have a tendency to get loose very quickly.

All in all, it's a good figure for what we pay and what makes it best is the accuracy it has. But definitely a lower quality collectible than a high end one. But... let's not start a war on that :lol .

It would certainly would harm the wallet. This has been an expensive year with no end in sight: I got all 3 Hot Toys super preds and the classic, about to get a Shadow, and am planning on getting the NECA 1/4 Ram and HT P2, as well as the Sideshow Narin Bad Blood. I really wish Sideshow would re-release the Narin Aqua Hunter- that thing was amazing.

Thanks for the info, Capella.

Know that feeling, I have all those HT figures too... and I really want the Samurai Predator which is the most expensive predator from HT (considering retail prices, of course).

No problem :1-1: .

I've always thought that HT should include a set of mandibles which are rubber with metal wire in them ( as well as the fixed plastic ones ) so each individual owner of the figure and have their own "smirk" or whatever they want to do with the mandibles

:lecture and it should also have proper mandibles... that's what I'm mostly afraid TBH.

It's still the whole rubber issue though. Although posable mandibles might be a good idea for the 1/4 Preds.

Ive never seen an issue at all with the rubber & wire dreadlocks and hands from the AVP figures. As long as they were not abused there shouldnt be a problem

Aren't Samurai's mandibles going to be like that? If I recall it well at least they aren't removable and instead can be opened and closed, or was it just the mouth? But even if it is for the mandibles I'm not sure it's completely "poseable".

If they do remake Wolf, the one release best include two shoulder cannons, the cleaner kit and open and closed mandibles.

Yes and come with the whip and a couple shurikens too! I hated having to get two versions of him to get the "ultimate" wolf figure.

Don't want poseable mandibles. They just need to give us three sets. Completely closed, snarling and roaring mandibles. Three sets of mouthpieces plus a mask, not far from the three mouthpieces and a BW headsculpt of their Batmen.

Plus it would be fun to interchange them. One closed plus one snarling = smirking.

I've said this multiple times now, but all that on a DX battle damaged P1 with proper weathering on mask and greenish armor plus glow in the dark blood dripping from his leg... and torn netting... with PERS...

:monkey5:wacky

A fan can dream..:monkey2

Poseable mandibles. I don't see that happening. Plus it could bring with it QC issues, tearing and paint flaking.

Hmm, that can't happen on Samurai, it's too damn expensive for that to happen... I'm a bit confused as to what is actually movable, just the mouth or also the mandibles. Maybe it's just the mouth, but still, I hope there are no QC problems...
