Whilst overall the body is too short and it does have it's issues it's still a well liked figure around here. Some feel that the headsculpt is more accurate then the Classic Predator headsculpt.

Hopefully they still press ahead and concentrate on a 1/4 P1 (1/4 Preds in general) but it's all gone very quiet on the Predator front at the moment. I'd say an updated 1/6 P1 is years off; maybe never...

cheers for the info and welcome, greatly appreciated! :)

all this ish with the sam pred has me wondering if another pred is the way to go now with the money, hence my questions. thks!

Kick Ass Ain't It I Would To Love See Them Make A 1/6th Scale Or Model Kit Or 14th Scale Figure Of Scar Predator

I absolutely love Hot Toys line of 1/6 scale Predators. Me...like pretty much every other collector here I am sure would just like to have at least one single decent Predator sculpt from Sideshow. So far from what we have all seen of the latest P1 sideshow 1/5 scale sculpt it has way too many issues such as poor sculpting and paint issues. IMO amongst many others it looks pretty horrible.

I am still thinking of ordering the 1/5 scale Wolf Predator from Sideshow even though I cancelled my order almost 2 months ago.
I would just be pretty dissapointed if I received an undesirable sculpt...and it is just too expensive for me to spend the 2 grand on the legendary Wolf Predator. I have the money...but being that I am in the process of a very lengthy move it is more important that I hold onto that 2 grand to help with travelling funds.

Here is my dilemma...I may go ahead and pre-order the 1/5 Wolf Predator once again and take a chance....or, wait until be is released in March of 2013 to see how he turns out and hope that I can still find this sculpt on Ebay for not too much of a price increase (assuming Sideshow will be out of stock at this point...if not that would be perfect as I could care less if I receive the Ex version or not) again I would just like to have at least one Sideshow sculpt of a Predator.

Sorry for the rant...too much coffee this morning. :)
Also...speaking of the Predator's line I went ahead and pre-ordered the "City Hunter" Predator and may go ahead and pick up the "Noland" 1/6 Hot Toys figure being that he is cheap...I think he will go well posed next to my other 1/6 scale Predator's. I have seen a few YouTube videos on Noland and he looks like a solid underrated 1/6 scale figure. :)

Feel free to give me advice or don't...again this is just a highly caffeinated rant about Predator collectibles so nothing mentioned in this post is anything new...just some stuff to get off my chest. To those who still have the 1/5 scale Wolf on pre-order...I do wish you all the best as far as receiving a sculpt that is nice and justifies the amount of dough spent on it.

Re: Hot Toys Predator 1/4 scale announcement

You are not alone... i thought Classic Predator was going to be my last HT buy.

But now im thinking of canceling classic and quit this hobby. Its getting boring with all this re-releases, remakes, scales.

See that's the beauty of it for me. I just got into Hot Toys and got the Classics Predator Ex. But knowing this...1/4 HTs will be refreshing for me.

The great thing is...Hot Toys will be my Predator collectible line (I skipped any statues), especially at 1/4. The Avengers I can deal with in 1/6. This is also great, because that mean all you like slipknotpredator will leave this hobby and allow me more of a chance to acquire the Predators, before they shoot up astronomically on the aftermarket.

^ Exactly. 1/4 is the way forward..although this scale comes at the cost of having less characters. Celtic or Scar, Elder, Berserker and Wolf would do me. Shame there's been no Alien announcements. I'm hoping the 1/4 AvP Preds come with Alien-themed bases...
