With The Spirit they had announced 3 figures before it came out and bombed. For this they only announced one.

PoP was #2 for the weekend, but isn't likely to do blockbuster business.

I think we'll only see Dastan for sure now... that it wasn't a huge success. :(

Well, PoP actually reached number 1 internationally, and I'm sure Hot Toys observes more than just stateside b.o. gross.

In the U.S., was there really any doubt that the film would struggle to hold its own against a giant, tired ogre and a pack of old, wrinkly hags?

Haha comment of the day. Disney expected about $200 mil stateside from this as franchise starter. Doesn't look like it's going to happen, but it could find legs. Wouldn't be the first time. That said, the Dastan is cool, and given the performance, I'm happy to be getting him at all.

Any idea when more pics will surface? I actually want this one. I have a soft spot for sword and sorcery adventures...

I dunno about anyone else here, but what I'm most eager to see about this figure is the Donnie Darko potential in the sculpt

That would be a tough custom wouldn't it? Especially since the prince has facial hair while Darko is clean shaven.

talking about the old wrinkly hags, I've never seen Sex and the City, tv or movies so know nothing about it except I don't ever want to see it because that sarah jessica parker is scary ugly. That Matthew Broderick must have a large supply of paper bags in the drawer in table next to their bed.

I have to say after seeing the movie yesterday, that, while it was a fun movie, I don't really have any interest in this Dastan figure.

HT has a lot more interesting licenses besides this one IMO. I will, however, remain very interested to see how this figure will look in the final specs and pics!

She looks like a horse.

She looks like a horse.

I think the proper terminology (according to South Park) is a "Transvestite Donkey Witch" :lol

As long as the likeness is there, the hair, both facial and otherwise, is an easy fix for lots of artists out there :rock

I never knew about this game till the movie came out. (don't shoot me ppl) Then I saw the movie and was like I have to play this game. Now I am just waiting for my game to arrive.

Great games, all of them. Guaranteed fun!

The new one for PS3 is that good, what is your review of the sands of time.

Sands of time was a solid 8.5/9 out of 10. Great story and visuals (for its time), the controls were great (as with all of them). Just a lot of fun to play! I haven't played the very latest one, been busy with Red Dead Redemption.

The newest one is really a departure from the original trilogy... it's a simpler, more casual game... from the puzzle solving to combat and how the game handles death. Beautiful game nonetheless. I still think Sands of Time is the best in the series.
