Sideshow told me Friday it would go out today at the latest, now I'm told it won't even be this week.

****ing ridiculous.

i think the bigger question is why does a laser gun need a magazine clip? lol

It is a battery pack. Well i guess will never know the reasoning behing the lower barrel and tip.
I know the lower grip section and lower barrel tip is the calico machine pistol they use as the base for the plasma rifle.
They essentially used a calico machine pistol and then added the upper frame, upper barrel, and the battery pack to it.

Does anyone here actually like Hot Toys/Sideshow's artistic license? I've always found the Sideshow bust far more menacing than the more accurate alternative.

The SS is more menacing. Shame SS started using crappy teeth unlike the teeth in the chrome skull. I would still like to add an accurate endo skull to my collection. I also think they should've used a screen accurate skull for this 1/4.

Its nice but accuracy to the movie would have been preferred. Thats what I've been looking at all these years, not a Sideshow bust.

lots and lots of people do.
every time a new inaccurate figure is made to fit their tastes and kills my hope to get "Authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of... from the movie..." (c) (Hot Toys), i send them rays of love.

I'm all for artistic license, I like seeing anyone draw Hellboy, some super talented people can even draw him better then the original artist, but at the end of the day only Mignola's Hellboy is Hellboy.

I want to buy something based on the real deal and not fan art.

Never seems to work out that way though, I can't afford to buy these things with mods in mind, so either I find a way to make them work for me outta the box or let 'em pass me by.

I agree about accuracy. I like my stuff as accurate as possible (humanly possible). I understand Sideshow is loving their "artistic interpretation", but unfortunately that doesn't work for everything. I totally like accurate Star Wars collectibles, and would really love an accurate Endo. But I'm going to get this HT Endo, no matter if not 100% accurate, the same way I got the inaccurate SS Stormtrooper PF.

Just got this figure....Wow! It may not be 100% accurate but the finish weight and posability make it a win! They really did a great job putting it all together. Best 1/4 endo so far. Now to see what Enterbay come up with.

Wait, I'm no expert at film accuracy as it doesn't bother me that much unless its glaringly bad but which Endo skull are we saying is the accurate/inaccurate one of these two?

The one on the right looks likes like a chromed Frank Langella Skeletor.

Technically, the Sideshow molds were used for the endoskulls in Terminator Salvation. It is considered the idealized version by Stan Winston studios, so it is screen-accurate, just not to the props used in T1/T2.

Cool! Looks like I'll have this waiting for me tomorrow when I get home, can't wait! :yess:

It would definitely suck if hot toys forgot to chrome the bottom parts of the legs during assembly but I'm thinking this is all intentional. I think the best representation of what the legs truly look like is in Neny Dee's review since it's in natural lighting. You can definitely see the charring on the legs (around 3:10) but it looks fine to me. I'm cool with it but I'd still like to see Enterbay's.

It's very simple, the legs are smoky/ dirty from walking through fire and ash. If you look at the base it has lava flowing.

Been waiting a long time for this guy, Very happy, I think my gripes are location of lighting switch, cheap looking guns, base needs more detail & action, NO base lighting (although it looks like a very easy project to add lighting into the base, also it has opaque plastic around base that will glow nice. Overall I rate it at a buy and its a good value.

Check the last pic!, I walk in and my 10yo Daughter is posing it like a Barbie, I could not believe it but it made me laugh.

Which is which? I prefer the one on the right...but even it doesn't have great looking teeth...
