The armor is a huge miss IMO. It makes the 1:6 version look chromed.
Really don't like the finish on the 1/4 scale. Looks so dull.

I love the base...as it captures the aftermath of IG-11's sacrifice perfectlyI must be one of the few that don't mind the big base
All good, not harsh at all. Interested in the paint used as I might entertain the same. I agree on the missing accessories for sure. Although I pretty much got it for the Grogu in satchel pose so how sad am I?Lol, thanks for responding the way you did I was worried I was being too harsh
It’s a good figure and I’m glad I own it but I’m not sure I’d tell someone it’s worth getting into 1:4 for. I would say that about my other 1:4 pieces. The S2 Mando appears to be a better release all around when considering accessories and finish.
idk if I mentioned it ITT but I’ve already ordered the actual paint they use on the screen used props and my 1:1 helmet pictured above and plan to repaint the armor. I think more metallic armor will make the flight suit look better by contrast.
Er - that pic just confirmed I'm not seeing things. The 1/4 paint looks dull. So maybe it's the same paint as the 1/6 but there can be minute changes in paints, dyes, etc.The armor is a huge miss IMO. It makes the 1:6 version look chromed.
Seems some of the gripes about this figure don’t really hold up in Justin/Jedha’s reviews. Proportions, weathering, armor all fine. He basically said it’s a must-have figure if you have the money.
I don’t think it’s the same paint. It interacts with light completely differently. I’m cleaning up some shots right now but here’s the best I can make it look so far.Er - that pic just confirmed I'm not seeing things. The 1/4 paint looks dull. Except the paint IMO makes the fig look like HT cut corners, when they d*#n well didn't need to. HT is perfectly capable of churning out excellent long-lasting metallic paint (IW Bucky arm, for instance).
I think they just want folks to buy the eventual chromed up shiny 1/4 and make even more money, which is evil. Smart, but evil $$$$$$$$
I'm very interested in that repaint if you do offer it. I'm in the UK but shipping shouldn't be too bad with all the armour pieces removable.I think it makes the most sense with this release to offer armor repaints. Send the pieces to me and I’ll repaint them. Printing, casting, and finishing completely new parts could cost as much as the figure. If I get the paint process down pat then it could probably be a simple $100-$200 ish mod. It will also be nice to have a figure finished in the actual prop paint because it adds an extra touch of screen lineage to the whole piece.
I like the flamethrower look! Protecting Grogu in the satchel. Might be my go-to initial pose!I saw some people ask about the standard display stand. FYI thats it I used to pose Mando with the 1:1 helmet. Maybe this is sacrilege but Mando seems to stand find and I care more about my desk display QS001 so I saw it as an opportunity to reversibly convert the base into an actual flat stand for Bats.
It’s a good looking stand and generic enough to be used for a lot of different figures. Hopefully some pop up loose.
2nd pic is Mando’s current home. Sometimes I keep new figures at my desk so I don’t end up posing them once and never taking them back out of my display.
Flamethrower effect is scaled better for 1:6 lolI like the flamethrower look! Protecting Grogu in the satchel. Might be my go-to initial pose!

Fantastic photos! It really loos like a real person in a suit.
