Yeah, I know. I emailed them about it a few weeks ago and they couldn't give me a straight answer on it.
Awesome name!

Congrats. It is a beauty, the dome is absolutely the key ingredient to making it seem like it popped off screen. The paint app on the body isn't the greatest, but the dome totally makes up for it.
All this is true the the electronics on mine are absolute crap. Even with name brand batteries, they last about a week with minimal use. I probably got a dud, but still...
Just tested mine tonight and now the sounds only work when the dome is switched on but the lights are off. I’ll try to take the batteries out and see if that resets things. I’ve been keeping it off since I got it, only switching the dome on when I use the lights for a few minutes then turning it all off.
I tried mine with lights off and the sounds are consistently responding to the remote. We have the same symptoms. Let me know if your reset works. I don't really want to run out and buy new batteries in hopes that will fix the issue.
So I tried it again this morning. Switched the dome on first, then the remote. I made sure the correct side of the remote was facing R2 (you can see the sensor on the front of one side), and then it seems for me I have to really aim it at the front projection light for the sound to respond consistently, but it worked this time with the lights on, off, just the projecter, etc.
Sometimes have to bring it about an inch away from that front projector for it to work again too.
