When I first read this I was like "yeah, whatev-"
Then I scrolled up and thought good grief you're right!

Hm...Scarjo BW is getting a lot of discussion over in Marvel section, but IMO ...she looks like a barbie doll (no offense to anyone who think otherwise)...I think current Jill, despite flaws looks a little less like a barbie. Then again, this might all be because while as BW is based off a "doll-like" Scarjo, Jill is a video game char. :rotfl...

Having said this BW just doesn't vibe with me...can't really explain it, but I definetly don't want Jill to look like that. The leather suit is promising though, but BW's suit is so much less "detailed" or detail demanding as Jill's BS.

I think the reason BW looks so Barbish is cause of the "real" hair. Jill's and Sheva's hair is sculpted and make them look more like "action figures" rather than "dolls". I'm not a fan of the "real" hair on figures but it does look better on BM than any of the previous female figures that used it.

have you notice ?
black widow and re5 jill have both spantex suit.

maybe hot toys should re-use that to make a battle suit jill.
That's PVC or pleather on Black Widow. They should have used Lycra or spandex for BW as was used in the movie. I believe it's both cheaper and easier to stitch than pleather.

Both Jill and BW probably are still with limited hips articulation (pics so far). HT have a few months of R&D to do/improve on before BSAA Jill or BW goes to full production.

For battle suit Jill... cannot really say, pleather maybe the only option for it to look good, but it may not be able to achieve pose like that (with pleather).

Yeah, agreed there.

Certainly there's different parts and textures such as the hexangonal patterning and even some light armor around the shoulders. Then there's the harness around the waist and legs for the double Vz's.

I still wonder how they'd handle the whole control device, damaged chest/un-damaged mercenaries chest thingy.

BW just blew this one outta the game. HT can definately make this one better... hope they do for you guys who want her. ;)

I haven't played RE5 in awhile but wasn't her body suit zipped up in mercs? If they do a Battle Suit Jill, I'd like the mind control device to be removable.

Yah, in mercs/versus BS Jill does not have the device on her chest (and has it unzipped way farther).

As vareika says, it's unzipped in Mercenaries, and there is no damage visible.

A removeable control device would be cool - it would probably need to be I can't imagine it working with zipping up the suit. The question is - would there be visible damage behind it or not?

Appreciate the condolence, 'cos I for one agree they can make this one better.

Gotcha. As I said I haven't played RE5 in quite awile so I couldn't remember.

Really can't put my money down on this one, looks nothing like her, hope there will be another version :panic:

Yes this fig does not looks sexy like Jill in the game but I love Jill Valentine character I buy her anyway.

If HT release another version of Jill, they'll use this same sculpt for that version too. May be redo the hair but not the face I think.

If they don't redo the hair, and still stick to RE5, then it would have to be Battle Suit Jill instead of STARS Jill (though I guess, re-coloring the hair is "redoing" it as well...). I don't think they will redo faces for same characters within the same series released at same times (unless its a seperate release, like maybe 1 year later?). Not sure though...

Triad has a nifty interchangeable breast plate system so you can adjust bust size to your liking. Maybe HT can adopt that for this and have one with the damage/device and a normal one.

Despite the mixed reviews, I'll be picking up this version of Jill when it's released. And I'm pretty sure we'll have an announcement soon of Battle Suit and RE3 Jill, considering the latter one has been requested for a long time now.

I have very little doubt we'll see Battle Suit Jill but I'm very skeptical we'll see RE3 Jill anytime soon (despite the fact that it is my most desired version of Jill and I would KILL for HT to make one). As far as I know, HT only has the rights to RE4 and 5.

So Stars Jill is also unlikely then? (Just confirming, RE3 Jill =/= Stars Jill, and is the "civilian" Jill right? I only played RE4 and 5).

Atm as much as it pains me to say it STARS Jill (and RE3 Jill) is unlikely unless HT decides to obtain the rights to make characters from previous games or if Capcom releases a DLC costume pack for RE5 that contains her RE3 and/or STARS outfits. Again though I'm just repeating what I heard so just take what I have to say with a grain of salt.

Ah yeah, something like that would be good. I can imagine it requiring a special TT torso construction as the current one is a thin-ish rubber sheath over an articulated armature.

All this does make me wonder how HT come to conclusions about which RE5 figure to make and how and if, to branch off.

But jumping in with RE3 Jill and STARS Jill would seem to me a bit impromptu. (Although admittedly welcome )
