I am confident that a Battle Suit version will be coming, and I think I will wait for that; I hope Hot Toys knows how high the demand is for a STARS Jill.

I may ditch my BSAA preorder for the BS one...since I don't have BSAA Chris to go with her. If BS does come out I mean.

Jill figure def. needs improvement I think. I just didn't like the BW figure because

1. ScarJo is too pretty "for realz" and the figure while excellent, still does not capture her enough for me.
2. BW looks more like a barbie (imo)
3. The wife is a hater (of me collecting toys in general, she says she doesn't understand why I want dolls) and a figure of BW will probably cross her line of tolerance. (You know, the are you a perv conversation).

also, Unless the SEVERELY Innovated her body, the BW figure, AND jill both are going to have some serious articulation issues. It's not so bad on jill, a dremmel and some patience can fix her.
but on a figure with skintight clothing like BW, that's not exactly an option.

that said, i plan to get both of them, and see how they stack up to my expectations.

I respect that, but honestly "IN TERMS OF LOOKS" the Black Widow figure is the best female figure Hot Toys has ever made. I really wanted this Jill figure to be good. But it's failed badly like the rest of their previous female figures, their faces look so plastic and lack realistic texture. Even in the game Jill's face was more textured than this figure. And this figure looks nothing like the model Jill Valentine was based off of.

I really hope they sort out the head on Jill. You couple that with the innaccuracies in some of the weapons and the apparent length of the collar amongst other things, it just feels like they aren't putting as much effort into the details with this figure as they do with their others.
It makes for a very unhappy monkey.

I am amped that they are coming out with a Jill, but dissapointed because she looks very generic, it feels like she has no personality. I am thinking I will pass on the BSAA in hopes that they make a battlesuit version. Stars would be great to go with my Wesker but yeah, Battlesuit I feel will be where its at.

I just have a bad feeling all of those passing on BSAA for the BS/STARS Jill may in fact prevent one of those from being made. If BSAA doesn't do well enough, there won't be a second Jill.

Agreed! Not to mention even if BSAA Jill sells well, there is still no guarantee we'll get a 2nd Jill. I mean Sheva is sold out pretty much everywhere (except ebay of course) so she seemed to have sold pretty well and atm there is no indication we're getting a 2nd Sheva.

The thing about Sheva is, her alt. costumes. If you look at Chris and Wesker, they have their STARS uniforms, Jill's battlesuit is straight out of the main RE5 storyline. But Sheva's alt. costumes have no story back-up, they're kind of fun costumes so to speak.

Having said that, I would absolutely love a Business Suit Sheva.
BS Jill would be really great to have, I think it's a great design, and that version of the character is integral to RE5 story.
Still, I'm glad we're getting BSAA Jill first as it is my preferred version.

BSAA face is kind of not "angry" enough in my opinion ...but I'm not an expert at HT figures, do they ever release different heads for same characters? And I don't mean alternate mouths such as the DX02 Batman, as that wouldn't really work for any other character.

Also, I'm concerned about the BS suit, its not 100% leather like IM BW. Her arms seem to be in this puffy cloth like material and there is just so much more detail on the suit...

Seems like overall the consensus is that IF they make another Jill it would be BS, as it is much more related to RE5 storyline then any other version. The less likely versions are STARS and civilian versions. (I would assume).

Interesting, I'd never thought about it like that - I agree the current headsculpt wouldn't suit BS Jill, like you say not 'angry' enough.

It's not unusual for HT to release different heads for the same figure or character, but it really seems to depend on circumstances. In this case, it would be great if HT did a different headsculpt for BS Jill.

As for the body suit, judging by HT's repertory, I'm confident they could pull it off. Providing the answer isn't just "rubber!"

True, true. Still I'm sure if HT made a Tribal Sheva, it would sell pretty well and possibly give HT a chance to redo her headsculpt.

I also totally agree if they make a Battle Suit Jill, she needs a new head sculpt with an angrier expression. I just hope they redo the sculpt on BSAA Jill aswell. After looking at BW's head sculpt, even though it's not 100% accurate imo, it pretty close and there is no excuse for HT not to give Jill a better likeness. That's not to say I don't like BSAA Jill and won't get her, it's just dissapointing knowing HT can do better. Hopefully if they do redo the current sculpt, they'll show it of at SDCC.

Other than being 'angry' the only difference with BS Jill would be the hair color, which wouldn't require new sculpting. So a BS version with the BSAA head is likely what would happen. I personally am pulling for a STARS version, but it might not even be an option unless they expand to a general RE license and not just RE5.

As for Tribal Sheva, it raises questions, such as would HT go a similar route as Leonidas, which I reckon could be somewhat divisive. Actually, wait... ...squishy rubber mocha-choca-latte ya ya k'toosh...
