Hey guys and gals.

Sorry if there is already a thread on this, but just wanted opinions on the different Robos out there. Are the original and gun-arm ones the same apart from the extra arm?

Any opinions on the best version would be helpful too.

Thanks. :)

Only the flight pack one (v3) has a removable helmet that is supposed to be removable.

my V3 body (with flightpack) with a V2 head on

Yes they are indentical with the only difference being that the V2 comes with the gun arm, thats it.

Thanks guys.

Cheers Voorhees, looks like I will have to source a V1 or V2 then. The V3 does look weird with the nose.

Thanks for the pics nicky.

I have the V1 and I think the paint job on his armor is slightly different. I've always felt that V1 was the best, but that's just me...

Both v.1 and the v.2 Robo are identical, ZERO difference in the look of the paint or anything else. As previously stated only difference is that v.2 comes with the additional gunarm accessory, and the figure stand says "RoboCop 2 w/gunarm" instead of just "RoboCop" for v.1.

I forgot to add if your looking to buy a previosly displayed, make sure to ask if there is any paint flaws especially on the back of Robo's head. It seems that they stuck Robo in the tray before his paint had time to dry, resulting in paint sticking/rubbing off in the tray.

Thanks for the heads up.

Even though you state there is NO difference, some pics I have seen of the V2 appear to have a more purple sheen? Is this just difference in the pics themselves?

Many thanks.

Robo 1 and the Robo 3 with gunarm use the same figure except that the Robo 3 has a different connection at the left elbow joint which makes it possible to change the gunarm to hand mode and back. You cannot pull the forearm out of the Robo 1 version.

Robo 3 with Jetpack has everything the Robo 1 and 3 with gunarm have with the addition of bluer paint (more accurate to Robo 3 movie), the jetpack (obviously), and the removable helmet which never looks quite right on again after you take it off.

If you can get a head from one of the other figures to put on the jetpack version, that one is all you will ever need for any display options. If you don't care about the jetpack, go with Robo 3 with gunarm. Robo 1 is obsolete unless you want the figure stand to say "RoboCop" instead of "RoboCop3 with GunArm" or "RoboCop3 with Flightpack".

Thanks for the specs!

Thing is, I am a 'sucker' for originals, so V1 may be the one for me. Plus I am negotiating a trade of HT Mk III Iron Man for one at the moment. :)
