I have to say I am not happy about feet dangling in the air like a short child on a chair. I ended up making a wooden pedestal from cherry and purple heart. We should not be making anything to fix a $500 CDN figure though. HT keeps charging a ton so please keep the quality top notch. Force lightning also drooping after first day of display. Head is also so close to top of chair. If you slouch him it looks poor as well also feet still do not reach ground. 1 1/2” off the floor is not good. Had I know this I would have not bought deluxe version.
They made his height and chair accurate sizes to the film

I watched the movie scene before posting as I knew people would say it’s accurate. His feet are on the ground when he walks towards Luke and Vader.
Plus the still from film.
I agree if you are happy great. Imagine if Ian had to slide back and dangle his feet how awkward that would have been.

Sorry about pictures. Tips to turn them the right way would be appreciated.

The height of the chair may well be accurate, but as others have pointed out, he clearly sits too high in the chair.. his feet should certainly not be dangling the way they do. Overall, great looking figure, but this is a little disappointing...

The reality of it is that Ian mcdiarmids toes just barely reached the floor and was just enough for him to propel himself to rotate...plus the cushions on the toy do not compress the way it oils in reality if it were indeed upholstered

To be fair..... countless replies to the same issues explaining that it's accurate along with multiple pictures showing him successfully posed in the chair........wow, what are the chances?

I don’t mind the legs hanging off the chair, the robes can cover that up to a certain extent.
I agree with some earlier posters that it takes some work.
If you get this figure, the chair is the way to go, the presence of it is awesome

Yea I know.....I was pointing out that both recent “people” who were “complaining” about the figure , are new members , with only 1 post each, in this thread only.

We all know the issue and how to remedy it, and that its actually screen accurate.

Mine looks fantastic, and with just a tiny amount of effort, you can get him to look like his feet are touching the ground.

Back when Sideshow released their version anyone who missed out on the throne environment wanted one badly.:lecture
Now there's a new opportunity to own a superior version by Hot Toys! Get it or regret it:lol
Emperor Palpatine without his throne is like owning a VCR without a TV:monkey3

Suspicious indeed... I am in fact not Ongstang, but full disclosure, he is a friend and it was his post and some response to it that prompted me to come out of the woodwork.. stop lurking and actually post!

Fair enough, I’ve just had more difficulty getting a pose I’m happy with from this figure than most. His feet not touching the floor onscreen is hardly noticeable, but it is kinda glaring to me with the figure. Looking back a few pages I see that some others have done pretty well posing him, so I’ll keep trying to tweak it!

Just a shot to show how to make him look like he is touching the floor...

There is only about 1/8 of an inch between his feet and the glass.

The over blown shot is to show his head level with the line on the chair, and thats he is actually leaning back on it, with his head hunched forward in true Palps style...

When the robes are in place you cant tell anyway.

I’m probably lacking a little in the patience department, but you’re definitely right and I will!
