Well, I was correct...hes a great figure and most of the early complaints were due to bad lighting and bad futzing,,,,

I took 2 shots below to illustrate my point, exact same pose one over exposed...the other with proper lighting.

His eyes are yellow as can be.....but with the brow, they are not easy to see.....

I disagree about the Eyes being yellow , they look light green to me in that photo. What the **** was hot toys thinking ?? did they run out of yellow eyes paint on Sith Anakin ??

THe ****ing eyes being yellow are ****ing essential to make this character. I Love my Emperor and Throne, but at the same time its a fail.

THe ****ing eyes being yellow are ****ing essential to make this character. I Love my Emperor and Throne, but at the same time its a fail.

It seems like the yellow they used goes over red and absorbs it some and loses purity. In the end, on a shelf, they're so sunken in and small, you'll probably never notice and only photographers will be truly impacted by the error, and perhaps that's why it went through that way, they felt they didn't need to care.

Eyes on my emperor figure are perfectly yellow with tiny red veins. I think they seem dull because of his brows and the lack of gold, which makes sith Anakins eyes seem like they are glowing.

There are not so many Sith with visible yellow Sith eyes in 6 movies, I count 4

ROTJ Emperor Palpatine (not yellow enough/brown mixed with yellow)
Darth Maul (done)
Sith Ani (beautifully done)

The only remaining Sith would be ROTS Darth Sidious, i belive Hot Toys did that on purpose on ROTJ version so people will grab ROTS with perfectly glowing painted Sith eyes, just like Anakin.

On getting things higher.
Once I put the figure and chair with the guards, the Emperor seemed a little low.
I added a set of stairs from Mime Joker and it helps elevate the old boy.

I dont think the chair height was never the problem, the massive problem was that hot toys left the cushion plastic therefore he sits super high and above it all like normal i feel, iddk, its my biggest pet peeve really

Finally got this figure. It’s great looking but it was a hassle trying to get him to sit properly. The chair needs more height between the figure’s head and the top of the chair. The legs are pretty high off the ground as well. I didn’t want the figure to be slouching like a drunk. I was about to give up on the chair but got something that I can live with for now.

K couple things, my Palps feet almost touch the ground without “slouchingl him.

It takes time and some patience to futz it correctly.

You dont just plop his but in the chair and expect a great look. It took a while to get my Custom Vito Corelone to look correct sitting. Its on of the hardest thing to futz.

Best tip I can give is point the toes downward, he wont touch the ground but it looks alot better....and as Wor pointed out, his feet didn’t touch the ground in the film either.

I decided to repaint the Eyes on my Palpatine.

NOW he looks Evil !
