There ya go, now that's the Emperor. I see those Sideshow "How to be a poser" videos and think, is this really necessary, but many collectors and such don't appreciate how far subtle things can go for making a figure look best, even some official product photos for figures with hoods and such have done some strange things with hoods that are unflattering. Especially with a character who is always hooded or often hooded in the film or show, that hood plays a big role in what our minds think the character looks like. Our memories of Palpatine are shaped by the shadows cast by his hood, the light in the overhead of his chair, etc.
Back when the proto first showed up at shows and we were all thinking he looked like Ed Harris, the hood was always horribly shaped at those shows putting almost the whole head on display, but then sure enough, the product photos go up with proper hood and lighting and suddenly Ed's gone and Palpatine's in the house.
