Looks like it's best to get them now, as a quick search of the bigger retailers indicates these have Royal Guards have sold out. I think every OT trooper that has been sold out for a period of time has spiked up in price. I just found a good deal on a second Snowtrooper Commander this past week. It's not the HT prototype but it's not bad. And I have given up hope that there will ever be another made.

And here I was thinking I was the only one looking for a second Snowtrooper Commander. It's a got a few issues but overall it's a quite nice figure. I swapped out the hands (too bulky) and bought an extra HT chestplate for mine (SSC chest is a bit flat) but the figure just didn't deserve the flak it got. He is a bit tall but then the HT Snowies are like 1/4" too short, have stubby legs and cheapo Hasbro-type boots.

But yeah to be fair, I got my Commander for $130 shipped (estate sale or something) and my guards were TA parts plus one complete boxed figure - I ended up getting them for under $150 each shipped all up, mostly because it's a figure that only really needs the helmet, hands, shirt, cape and pike for neutral "guard" display (though I did get a set of boots loose, but I do worry about pleather deterioration on those.)

i know right! the guards are cool, but were never seen next to the throne, i just like it to an extent i guess

They're more like Imperial bouncers and not too good at their job, they stood over the doorway to his office in the senate and Yoda dispatched them with no trouble at all.

Only so much you can do on a detolf shelf. It's one of my favorites, seeing those three together.

Has anyone posted a picture of him standing/walking with his cane in hand, flanked by RGs? I believe that would be somewhat accurate as well, as in the scene in RotJ when he arrived on DSII and emerged from his craft, RGs were the first ones out and then lined up as was walking with Vader.

Those images are bad ***. As far as I'm concerned having him flanked by the guards (screen accurate or not) just looks great !

I never ended up picking the emperor up. Had bought one Royal Guard with plans to pick up another and palpatine but I went another way. May need to let go of the royal guard

Plaque was custom made (can't remember who as it was years ago) and the holder is from the rebel scrum store.

There's a guy on here who does custom plaques, Evilface.

Cocolocoboy does custom stands, with plaques. Not sure if they work together, but if you contact either of them they should be able to help.
