Exactly. Definitely some similarities. Maybe it was as simple as listening to the fans about fixing the smiling face. This is what they seemed to have tweaked the most.

Loving this guy, I do wish it came with a second head sculpt for angry expression but this one seems to work well. PO day 1 deluxe!!!

The pictures I posted above are of the same sculpt, just different lighting. I was saying that a few people thought the one that's been put up for PO is the same sculpt as the "Ed Harris" one that has been shown for months - I posted pics earlier showing that the one that went up for PO is a 100% new sculpt (ie not even a revision of the "Harris" sculpt.)

I then posted the above pics to show the PO'ed sculpt under different lighting to again reinforce that it's different to the "Ed Harris" one (as some people had said the PO'ed sculpt was just the "ed Harris" sculpt under studio lighting and with different/better paint.)

Yes, I was going from the pictures you posted above and did not see the BOLD TEXT BELOW THE IMAGE BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS A PART OF YOUR SIGNATURE LINE.
Looking at the other comparison images from the convention and the preorder side by side, they do look like they changed the nose and chin, the brow ridge however looks much the same.

Nice add in and probably cool for some pictures but I doubt too many people would display him with it. Looks similar to the Electro figure effects.

If it didn't have it people would be complaining.

Wait, three people starting with me here make a judgement based on a badly worded set of comparison pictures in a single post and now it's a huge controversial argument from a lot of people about whether this is a new reworked sculpt or not, hyperbolic much?
What happened to this forum over the last 13 years that I've been here?

Agree that few will display like this but I do think they did about as good a job with it as I'd expect. Not an easy thing to make realistic...

I wasn't responding directly to you. On and off for pages since the most recent palps was shown folks have been questioning if it's a new sculpt. And it clearly is.

It's the emperor's primary means of attack and to me it looks as well done as could be expected. The price for the standard is only $220. What would you have them do, leave it out?

I'm glad they included it as a display option. The lightning effects look great to me, about as realistic as the hand drawn animated lightning did in ROTJ.

It actually makes me want to pick this up just for that display, I'll leave the Sideshow version in the hooded and hunched over with his cane look.
