Yeah, I was gonna ask how on earth "Battlefront 2" became "BTTF2"... Maybe "BF2" or something.
They seem to have learned their lesson after flooding the market with TFA figures, RO troopers are sold out.
I think HT will not bury the RO mold. All upcoming SW movies involving OT type Stormtroopers will be made with this new mold and not the OT mold (ANH, ESB, ROTJ). So be prepared to see these type troopers again in Han Solo movie, and maybe in Fett movie, and all other SW movies that have OT era Stormtroopers.
I still like the OT Stormtroopers best. The Rogue One troopers look Disneyfied somehow. Too symmetrical, and those eny-tini bikini breast plates. Compare with the OT Stormtrooper and you'll see what I mean.

And they will be accurate, symmetry and all. OT era Stormies, on the other hand, will always be some idealized versions.

I'm not caught up with the lawsuit, but is it possible that they had to change the design of the Stormtroopers so that Disney could own that version?
Didn't the studio that actually crafted the Stormtrooper armor back in '77 lay claim to the design and started selling it on their own?
I don't think it has too much to do with Shepperton lawsuit. It has more to do with the modern times and high def cinematics of today, where it is unlikely you could go with the OT Stormie helmets with all those warps and dings.
Plus machines are alot better at making things nowadays compared to model makers who didn't really care much in ~1977 .
The more I learn about all the the imperfect nuances of the OT Stormtroopers, the more I prefer the perfect symmetry of the "Disney Stormtroopers". I like my TK's to look perfect since all their armor is supposed to come from an assembly line. I find no charm in wonky defects, bumpy molds, etc. found in the OT TK's.

Wait... was that just a civilized and, dare I say, cordial difference of opinion? On the internets!?! On the Freaks Forum?
I think it's probably not fair to say they didn't care. Especially if you look at many of the studio scale ships that were built. A lot of what it comes down to (outside of things like the small dent on the arm) is that this is how we remember them looking. Like Fett's ESB helmet is warped (stretched horizontally), but that's what looks right to most people as that's what showed up in the movie and what most other iterations were based off of.
