I would Love some armor since they are guards. You don't arm your elite Guards with red velvet. :lol

I don't know though, I always imagined them to have mysterious powers related to force sensitivity (hence the force pikes). To me that would make robes more fitting than armor, though I can see why Hasbro would put toy Guards in armor.

That got me thinking because I thought they were selected for their height...

In the films the Stormtroopers were all heights, so I didn't know they'd added a canonical height to them.

Wookiepedia.. :lol :slap

2 midgets for you, regulars for the rest of us :p

Yeah. Need both the exact same height. It'd look silly otherwise. Why do you think Rebels never tried to use them as a disguise?:lol

I meant different heights for variety rather than a short Luke type Stormtrooper. They were different heights in the movie.

I'm still going for a pair of the guards being offered in the customs forum and plan on having one body taller than the other depending on how much leeway there is robe lenght wise.

I already have my short Royal Guard, the Medi version ;)

Anyone know what the actual actors wore under the robes? This is from my Star Wars Costumes book:

You can see in the cut scene with Vader and Jejerrod they just have a second inner robe, but a maroon color that matches the sleeves and gloves. There's also a behind the scenes polaroid costume pic in one of the books that shows just maroon robes underneath as well.

Really hope there's no armor because not only will it increase cost, but it will slightly show through the red robes at the front.

They can release a higher $$$ deluxe edition with the armor for those that care about such nonsense.

I'm with you on this, lower the regular price below 200 and then make the deluxe with the armor. I for one won't display my gurads with their skirt up.

I didn't know these guys were being made until I saw them on display at Celebration ... mindblowing. Then I find out HT are finally doing the Emperor and accept that I'm not out of the collecting game yet.
