I did the math. It was actually cheaper for me to buy HT stormtroopers from Hong Kong over Ebay than to get them through Sideshow. (I'm Canadian).

Will this be the first time buying from Hong Kong or have you done it before. Its not a bad idea. I have purchased loose HT head sculpts and bases (T1 Battle Damage) with free and very fast shipping (to my home address)

I've bought mostly from Hong Kong. The only thing I got direct from SSC is the Probe Droid, mostly because anything with the potential for really problematic QC is best purchased from them. I look at the extra cost as insurance, in that case.

A few. Best one in terms of speed and communication was...I can't recall right now. When I get a chance I'll go through my Ebay history and let you know.

He's "expensive" but for a Canadian still works out cheaper than SSC (it's those brutal FedEx fees) and ships fast. There is also the option of getting pieces shipped to friends in Michigan, but I haven't bothered with that yet.

I'm buying this locally, and I will be paying $273. Weird coincidence.

If I buy this directly from SS I'm looking at $275 (figure plus estimated VAT) and thats without shipping.

The shipping shows as no estimate available on this one for me. I don't think he has the $10 flat rate.

I think it showed me $10 (within US) but I need to double check. I wish I could used COMIC15 for Returns Batman but no deals. Is there a code for Batman?

I have Sideshow orders delivered to a mailbox 1.5 hours away from me in the US. It's usually considerably cheaper to buy HT and Sideshow figures directly from Sideshow, especially with a coupon - I've yet to find a HK seller with a lower price not even factoring in the coupon.

S### man. Not even sandtrooper is available to my country. Wanted spacetrooper n luke in disguise, but exclusive restricted...ok I will just have to accept that then. Then now after trying to po sandtrooper got message it`s not available to my region also. And that is not an toyfair ex or whatever. Also the fri#### batman returns pack is not available. I am missing everything I want from HT, what the ####!

Doesn't the restriction mean you have someone else in your country already selling the same thing? Usually shipping restrictions are to prevent cutting into the sales of a local distributor.

Wait, really? That doesn't make any sense that some HT would be available (non exclusives of course), but not the ones that you want in particular. Both those should be available from European stores and popcultcha in Australia has the Luke Stormtrooper EX.

I'm just bummed we have to wait until March. This is my most anticipated figure at the moment.

I try to only use SS for the rewards points and the promo codes. Also try to combine shipping.

As for the exclusives I would try to find the best available option from other stores.
I am awaiting an answer from HT on the issues with the non exclusives. That`s the weird one.

Right. Now imagine the possible concerns from some of their EU commercial clients that they are competing with them. So by whatever special arrangements, they lock out a particular product to persuade retail customers (you for example) to buy locally. Just a hypothesis, but not something out of the ordinary for many other goods.

I got your point the first time.
When they (whoever it is) wants to persuade a customer they need to reach out for me. The only commercial I am interested in.
The thing is, HT exclusives is available to Sweden, Denmark and Finland from SS. That is all the scandinavian countries except Norway and Iceland.
It`s sure as hell no ex retailer in Norway.
