Trying to hold off po'ing this guy,, whats the chances of this getting to the "sold out" department?

As close to zero chance as you can possibly get - it hasn't happened to any other SW figure before shipping and orders on this guy will never be as high as Stormtroopers. There are even collectors here that aren't planning to get him - and that's a shocker.

The assumption is HT will make a couple variants b/c there's a few movie accurate iterations of the Sandtrooper. Still thinking about this one. Now that I've cancelled some stuff, passed on others and sold some things, might be cool to add this. Think it will look really cool in-hand with all the gear.

Agreed. I really like this one. In a way it is a "kill two birds with one stone" piece. I would pick this figure over the Stormtrooper.

I really like the weathering on this guy and all of the gear. I'll still pick the standard Stormie for their versatility though. I hope we get some more Tatooine figures to pair these guys with. A Landspeeder would be crazy.

Exactly. One Sandtrooper is barely better than none, but three are easily 100 times better than one. Try to explain that math to a child.

Yeah Sandtrooper variants seem likely given that it seems like Trooper types from Hot Toys will be plentiful. Although really from the Original Trilogy there aren't that many really (Storm, Sand, Space, Snow, and Scout are all I believe unless I'm missing any). If they go Prequel Trilogy and Clone Wars eventually they could get into quite a bit, but Sideshow has made a lot of them already so not sure they'd retread that territory. There will be new ones in the Sequel Trilogy no doubt though.

Ht might make all these troopers in time. Even Stormie variations, including colored ones. Then there are TIE Pilots, AT-AT Drivers, Gunners, Royal Guards etc. And as you said the countless colored clones - though they were already covered by SSC pretty well. And of course we'll get TFA troopers of all kinds. But I'll stick to my OT Imperials.

In a way wish they came in a set or at least one after another. This way I'd know my full budget, and make sure I'll get it read for them.

That is my favorite aswell. However I do have my mind set on a squad.

How many sandtroopers were there in the dockning bay 94 scene? That would be my ultimate sandtrooper display.

Squadrons I'll leave for the Hasbro 6" line. More cost effective!
