I love hasbro. Grey pauldrons, blue Parkas, green clovers, yellow moons! They're always after me Hasbro Charms!

Nope, I've been through all of these pages & there's only the pics from the Sideshow website, a coupla pics from some con of some sort and Budget Stark's pics - hopefully there'll be more nearer release but that's not until January.

There was never a gray Sandtrooper in SW :) Long ago, in a Hasbro galaxy someone misunderstood a color from a picture and then they released the gray Sandie.

Well I'll be! I hadn't stumbled upon this gem of knowledge yet and kind have just been blindly going along with it... a tip of the hat to you good sir!

Sounds like exactly the sort of thing to happen in the Star Wars universe.. along the same lines of a particular color of jacket or what pilot belong to what ship etc.
The more you know!

Based solely on prototype images from the shows and Secret Base, I feel as if this iteration of the helmet is better than their plain Stormtrooper. It's almost certain that the mouthpiece region used for this helmet is identical to the other one given it's a modular component and I can't see why they'd tool another...but the longer frown and raised brow trim appear to go some distance to improving the slightly off proportions and giving us a proper stunt helmet.

So the next question is, how durable will the weathering application be? If this helmet could be cleaned with alcohol like SSC's R2, it may give us an option for a mix of stunt and hero helmets on regular Stormies.

I wish HT made Stunt Stormtroopers as well. The only cool thing about Hero Tk's are the bubble lenses. Everything else looks better on Stunt

I think the odds of anyone at HT knowing the difference are lower than 50/50.... Just saying. ;)

I hated the 'sty' on the stunt, so personally glad they went with hero. It'd be pretty visually annoying to have 2+ troopers on display all with that same deformity, IMO.

Edit: D'oh. Thought this was the Stormtrooper thread, for some reason. Not sure if the Sandie stunt had the same issue as the Stormie.

The Sandtroopers all wore stunt helmets, so they likely did. It never bothered me and it's a non-issue in this case, since HT wouldn't replicate that anyway...

I wonder if HT releases a Deluxe version with Black/White Pauldrons... Who am I kidding. They'll make each a single release... I just want a "Look Sir, Droid" hand. I never got the Sideshow version.

Yeah, re-reading I see JKNO was referring to the Stormtrooper, so my comment still stands. Good point about the Sandies all wearing stunts, though (which I knew, sorta... too early and need another coffee...). Checking SSC's pics, it does look like HT elected not to replicate the sty, as you and Pix predicted, ZE. Oddly, with the Sandtroopers, that feature would bother less or not at all, as they were always rough around the edges, whereas I prefer the Stormtroopers clean and symetrical.

I'd like that, too. Wonder when we get Sandtrooper #2.

What is a "sty"?

Anyway the small mouth on the Hero is not as cool or menacing as the Stunt.

It's the noticable bump on the bottom of the stunt Stormtrooper's left (if facing the viewer) 'eye'. Always found it annoying once I noticed it. Not sure if that is a feature of all stunts or only some, though.

Edit: Just checked some reference shots and looks like it was a feature of all of them. See what you mean about the frown, though. Like that HT gave us a mix then on the Sandtrooper. Getting rid of the asymmetrical eyes but keeping the longer frown of the stunt. Also like that they kept the hero for the Stormtrooper, since it differentiates the two soldiers.
