Just ordered from HK. $27 more than from sideshow, I'm cool with that for having him early. Looks so good!!

Just ordered mine with a local reseller. He won't get stock for a few months still but with so much on order I'm happy with that. Still gutted HT didn't make a 2 pack for these like with the Stormtroopers etc

That weathering is fantastic. Up until the Desert Sands one, the SSC weathering looked like smeared poo.

Yeah, I think it was on every piece of OT armor, stormies and sandies.

People complained about the hand size, but it's better than SS's whose forearm armor tapered too much near the wrist, making the hands look HUGE. This is a massive improvement. But really, it's all about that bucket. LOOK AT THAT THING!!!! Gorgeous.

They look like the cream of HT figures. I like the fit of the armour, and how the body just seems to take a natural lifelike pose.

The eyes aren't quite a match and the edges of the mouth aren't quite curved enough, but the rest is terrific and I love the separate ear pieces. I actually think this looks a little closer to onscreen than the HT stormie does.

Your comparing different angles, but even still there will never be a 100% match. No two stormtroopers bucket or sandtrooper were exactly the same.

This is by far a better bucket than the HT stormtroopers, I think. The jowl is smaller.

Yeah it doesn't have the same chin error the HT stormie had, but the eyes still look a bit too small (and the lenses don't come close enough together at the front) and the mouth doesn't "dip" enough on the sides, but these are nitpicks.

Kudos to HT for not just reusing the stormie sculpt.

But it's the weathering that really nails it and makes it look realistic. It's outstanding. I only have the one Marmit sandie, so will definitely grab this guy.
