So on wookiepedia it says the pauldron colors. If this is accurate does orange outrank white (don't know anything about military). Makes sense to only have one orange if that's the case.

Black - Enlisted ranks
White - Sergeant
Orange - Squad Leader

The wait on this one is killing me. Wish they'd announce the other two, as well.

Same here, cannot wait for the other 2 nd thus know the Sandtrooper collection is over and done with :)

Really cool! Helmet is not perfect, but still a fantastic figure. The trio of HT Sandies will look awesome together. I already pre-ordered the Sandie long ago, now hopefully it will come to international distributors too

The moment I get the Samdtrooper trio from HT, I'm going to sell my SSC ones. SSC Sandies are nice, but the floppy bodies, weird paint apps and weathering, and ugly helmets and tiny cod pieces are some big cons.

So this guy only comes with the MG 34 and the Lewis gun rifles, not the other MG 15 style sandie rifle. Bummer - the MG 15 is my favorite look for the sandie. Have to make one.

I think the only differences between the Hot Toys stormtrooper and sandtrooper buckets are brow trim and frown length; the lateral tubes appear to be the same size to me but the jowly appearance is mitigated by the adjusted features.

Could be wrong; the lateral tube section is a separate piece if I recall correctly, so it *could* have been re-tooled when adjusting the frown...

The trooper looks great, save a couple of flaws that my Trooper OCD spots a mile out.

Excellent release, though.

Absolutely wonderful looking figure. I was going to pass because I have quite a few Sandtroopers already, but may have to reconsider.

The HT stormie chin error doesn't look as pronounced on this, but there really hasn't been enough pics to say for sure.

Beautiful finish. Just checked eBay...the Hong Kong sellers seem quite feisty about this one. I've paid a little extra for early releases in the past, key word being "little" -- since after conversion and crazy SSC shipping prices the difference wasn't significant if any. But as of today I'd pay over a hundred (CAD) extra to get this.

Not even I love sandtroopers that much. :cuckoo:

Must be the Star Wars craze affecting pricing.

In the OSR link the tubes/jowls actually do look reduced. Could be the lens used, but based on those photos I think I'll snag one. (Surprise.)

I will be doing a little kit-bashing and modding to tweak it, though.

Had to get a couple of these wish they had done a 2 pack. I plan on using the pauldron from the shadowtrooper on one for different ranks. What a month November has been for STAR WARS

You can see the sandie/stormie helmet differences more in this pic. Notice the "chin" (between teeth and chin grill) vertical distance - too much on stormie, corrected on sandie. "Jowls" less. Distance between teeth and goggles. Either tweaked or new sculpt.

On yet another inspection I had thought maybe it was an optical illusion, but the "chin" distance you point out is apparent. I think that's what's changed if anything. The lateral tubes appear to be the same size, just look reduced relative to other changed features. Which is to say they're still too big, but the helmet is indeed closer.
