Hot toys Snowspeeder Pilot Luke Skywalker

Hot Toys definitely went balls deep on that TFA line. But the poor sales were on them to a degree -- one stormtrooper or two, sure, but they released six different variants of just the main ducktrooper, then also released the flame, tie pilot, and snowtrooper sets. That's a bit nuts for one movie. Surely some of those variants could have waited until maybe anything sold out.

Anyhow, back to Bespin Han for a moment, since this is his thread after all (oh wait!), my hope is that they're indeed now ready to show him after essentially covering every single other realistic Luke and Leia figure. I think the theory that they're looking for one Han sculpt to rule them all may sadly be on point. They have Hoth Han, Bespin Han, pre or post Carbonite Han (maybe slicked back hair), and ROTJ Han (side eyes) to worry about. It better be good, especially since Ford really didn't look that similar in ESB vs ROTJ.

The build up to TFA was huge!

Over 2 billion in box office!

HT couldn?t make duck troopers fast enough!

Fast forward 5 years.

How the heck has HT NOT been impacted by covid

i really think that you guys are overreacting, sure hot toys seems to announce more Marvel figures, but they are whats hot now. Star Wars as a whole is getting the same kind of attention, whats not getting made is the Empire figures that everyone in this thread wants.

You guys have been constantly and relentlessly complaining about the lack of "major" OT ESB releases from Hot Toys. Better have a quick glance at the sad state of DC section, that place is literally a graveyard infested with multiple variants of WW, video game Batman and Harley. SW collectors are still more fortunate with new announcements, particularly in the aftermath of horrendous ST related incidents in previous years.

Grail releases like ESB 2.0 Luke, Snow-speeder Luke and Bespin Han will definitely be offered at certain point.

Why is old HT Han Solo looking more and more like 1995 Hasbro He-Man Han?

It might be because I swapped out the chest piece with a Blitzway Zorro chest for the visible chest hair.

Thats why I'm thinking the sculpt is the hold up. They want to milk the same one as much they can.

Also mentioned that later in the thread. Which if thats the case HT strategy sucks. The major OT fan base are only getting older. These Clone Wars/PT collectors will still be around later. These OT collectors...not so much.

not bad. To me, Hot Toys Han has been a failed sculpt and a failed body proportions figure....

I think this looks better, even if a tad too large.
