Scout trooper I guess was an attempt at the forest trooper

I'm surprised after ep 3 had the troopers in the green/brown on Kashyyk, George didn't rush out a special edition of Jedi with the Scout troopers armor recolored to forest colors.

What always bothered me, was that for ESB , Lucas created the Snowtrooper, he fit the environment he was fighting in. In ROTJ, its almost as if there was a lapse in creativity, here were the regular Stormtroopers fighting in forest. I wish they had created a Forestrooper or something, you know?

A forest isn't an extreme environment. The only time you see a variation like that in the OT is for extreme conditions, the minor additions for the Space and Sand troopers in ANH and the even more hostile environment of a planet of ice in ESB. A temperate forest like Endor doesn't need any of this. I think what throws people off is the fact Snowtroopers are white so you assume they're camouflaged for an even more specific trooper, but all stormtroopers are white as the Empire disregarded camouflage in favour of intimidation and fear. If Endor were a jungle rather than a forest you'd need extra gear like the snow/sand/space troops. They'd also be white imo. Cammo troopers are a terrible idea, best left for the prequels, as it goes against why the stormtroopers were designed white to begin with. (as well as the evil grimace face/helmet)

I don't know why, but the SSC helmet makes me think of a Klansman, while the HT's says Star Wars.

I've seen the KKK/Snowtrooper question in forums many times over the years, asking if they were meant to look like klansmen.

I never got that vibe from watching the movie, it's just the SSC version that gives me that. Maybe it's the shape of the eyes or how the cowl lays.

Eh, thugs in white hoods with little eye cutouts. Google KKK and Snowtrooper and you'll see what I mean.

Now HT have done the Snowtrooper I need the white and black pauldron Sandtroopers, Snowtrooper Commander, Scout Trooper, Royal Guard, Tie Pilot and ESB/ROTJ Stormtroopers.

Nothing beats OT troopers.

We got the Scouts :)

Oh god, that sounds ridiculous. I'm so glad there is nothing like that in OT. Now we have goofy shoretroopers. I'm expecting "hallwaytroopers" with brooms soon.

Restroom Troopers or as the other troops call them behind their backs, Pooper Troopers!

Are the shore troopers trained to go beyond the shore?

As long as they are able to touch the bottom, they're fine. Past that limit, imperial scuba troopers take over.

There is probably a Tunnel Trooper under the ground somewhere too.

In the new trilogy, Pooper Troopers have been consolidated into standard rank and file.. hence Finn having to go on a kill mission between scrubbing toilets.

I find no problem with various troopers it is more true military then the limited options from the OT...that said it can also become more costly in terms of toy buying :)
