the magnetic backpack makes this a huge upgrade.....the one thing about the sideshow one I hated: the straps and how they connected to the backpack. Huge paint in the butt at the time....overall, theirs was a decent release, but this is a huge upgrade.

How many times can I say 'huge upgrade'...?

So I paid the 2 pack off 2 days ago and although it says paid in my account, they have yet to remove funds from my bank account?

Are they waiting till the receive these or what's the process when you pay something off early

Seems to be no rhyme or reason to Sideshows withdrawal and ship policy. Sometimes I've had it charge and ship same day and others I've had to wait several days before it shipped. Even further still I've had to wait till the stock was in for it to post to my account or paid in full through PayPal and then wait for the stock to be in.

The Hot Toys Snowtrooper just looks like a more refined and dialed in version... I think if we'd never had a comparison then the Sideshow would have continued to be a better looking figure. What's funny is the Sideshow really only got too things wrong, the dumb rubber face mask (and to a lesser extent for most the squinty eyes) and the oversized gloves.

I agree, for the most part. The hand issue extends to the non-tapered shape of the armoured bracers going up the forearm, which really made them look clunky when compared to screenshots. The figure posed up well, though.

It did, I had mine proudly on display from the day I got it (which it was a day 1 preorder for me) up until Hot Toys announced their's and it was time to unload him :lol

I did keep the exclusive blaster rifle though.

The is not a complete stock SS as i upgraded the body to a true type and replaced the rubber cowl with plastic...View attachment 348194View attachment 348195

The gloves fit perfectly well on the SS pegs but the barbell part of the SS neck joint needs to be swapped out as it's too large to fit the HT helmet socket

Which Neck post do you need to change to get the HT head on the SSC figure?

Got my figure today! When I have time later I'll post a few pictures.

Here's one:

I flexed a single thinking Id be late to the party. Apparently not. Why are the 2 packs shipping before the single?

Here's a comparison with SSC Snowspeeder Luke:

They definitely do go together really nicely. Good start to my ESB Hoth collection. If I could I would get the AT-AT Driver too.

I do wish the hips on the Snowtrooper weren't as limited, but it's because of the fatsuit underneath. As others have said I think the pants could've been a little bit looser. But overall this figure really has a man-in-a-suit look. It can pass for the real deal.

The hooks on the backpacks are similar to Boba Fett's, and I had trouble getting his in the loops. So for now I'm just letting the magnet hold it in place. It's not sturdy but it stays on alright.
