Yes, somebody's inked over it.

Worlds easiest mod! :lol

Don't worry--it's not like everything is going up for pre-order right away. Sometimes some of those SDCC reveals don't materialize til over a year later.

If this is a battlefront snowy maybe they will make a Battlefront Luke Jedi!

There is nothing about this Snowtrooper that is Battlefront. The Hot Toys sculpt is based off the actual costume, the Battlefront is slightly different (and inaccurate) in helmet and lens shape. No matter how it is presented at SDCC, this Snowtrooper is from ESB.

I think Hot Toys, did an excellent job with their rendition, especially since they have the advantage of seeing what Sideshow has done first. The Hot Toys Snowtrooper has an impressive helmet sculpt and the lens are pretty much the correct shape. Looking over the posted pics, the only thing I can say is the cowl is just a smidge too long, but it appears they have sourced the perfect vinyl material, which is a feat in itself, with accurate to scale wrinkles and sheen.

Having said that with a few modifications the Sideshow Snowtrooper can stand with the upcoming Hot Toys figure. I did some modifications to mine and you can see the results:

It features a True Type body, helmet and lens modifications, assorted tweaks and a custom base. you can read about it here:

Agreed. I was just looking at the label card that others have spotted. Now it seems like it's been crossed out. Dunno.

Nice custom. Cool base.

Have the experts passed a verdict on the HT Snowtrooper yet?

Is he ESB worthy?
I'd say that's the best I've seen ..without seeing up close the lid and cowl look 100% better than anything that's come before it.
Not sure why or how SS could get this so wrong? Their 1/6th looks like a bad hasbro figure and the PF is utterly wrong with the headsculpt so off its unfixable without sculpting a whole new one.
