It’s only the new Disney Star Wars stuff since TLJ that has NRDs, since they’re not selling so well. They don’t want to be left with a ton of stock. All the marvel and recent avengers infinity war stuff went up without NRDs, barring oversized(expensive) figures like thanos or gladiator hulk.

But yes, for nuSW stuff you could use SS.

Oh I see. I figured they were ushering in a new trend. I’m not super knowledgeable with recent Star Wars releases.

Thanks

But why would such a popular character be an exclusive?

cuz he is an easter egg character, he is like the suicide batman or the rogue one vader, he is not gonna be a regular release, so i guess it's gonna be an exclusive

The BBTS NRDs suggest they are wary of another TFA trooper/Finn overstock-undersell situation. I also wonder if this is by design as maybe the production run of these figures aren't set yet...

I really just want to read the spoiler tag and know...one more day...one more day...

Figure looks great especially the deluxe, I just don’t know that I’ll want it on my shelves. Ive no problem with the film or the guy playing Solo, I simply want classic versions of the characters that I grew up watching.

We get some of those new Trooper designs, I’m in.....

There's more Easter eggs than just that one.

Exclusives are not generally hugely popular characters -- if they are, then they are a specific variant. Toyfair Ex would be something like Luke Endor.

You know, I've always tossed around that Ingruber got to pick somewhere behind the scenes whether he wanted to be Indy or Han - and he picked Indy, hence why we got Alden instead. But all of that is of course deep under wraps and such.

I'm pretty happy he wasn't picked. Yeah, he looks like Ford but that would've been distracting to look at. His pronounced mannerisms and almost slavish recreation of that Mos Eisley scene and how so many people actually thought that was good acting was concerning.

I agree. I'm certain he wasn't cast because he's terrible. Plain and simple. I'm sure everyone who met him in the process wanted him, and who wouldn't, he looks just like Ford... but clearly they couldn't get passed something. Hmmmmm.... what could it be? His acting. Obviously. If he could act he would have been cast in less than 12 parsecs.

That's complete BS, though. First off - Ingruber was never in the running for Han whatsoever. They had a shortlist, he wasn't on it. Second, the dude isn't a very good actor. He can do impressions, yes. He looks a good amount like Ford, yes. But they said from the getgo with Solo they weren't going to make a Harrison Ford copy of Solo.

Also, Indie 5 has Harrison. IF they reboot the series, I doubt they'll try to find a carbon copy. Last I heard was Chris Pratt being considered for Indie 5 as the younger role. I don't think they'll reboot Indiana Jones for a good while if they're making another film with Harrison.

Bottom line, Ingruber was never going to be Han. Not even close. Not sure why everyone insists he'd be great just because he looks like him and can do 30 second impressions. If you watch the dude act, he has little to know charisma. Can't carry a film.

After watching the film decided to place my order and go standard. I like the Deluxe but don't see myself displaying him in that look often.

This is a rare instance when it looks worse than the promo pics

I can't comment on it beyond the little I've seen of him. Disney no doubt was aware of the kid, and they clearly avoided him. Which may have been for the better - who knows how Ingruber would have acted under the right direction and coach. But as it stands, and whatever it does stand for - Alden has some repertoire to stand on comparatively. The question is if he'll keep it after doing this film. It's gotta be brown pants for contract signing day terrifying to take on this role. His career could end as quick as it began.

Dude let off the gas there a bit, chief. I think you definitely missed the part where my statement was a hypothetical.

Well I really enjoyed the movie and liked the look of the figure before, so I'm leaning towards yes now. The Chewie looked real bad so will definitely skip him. I'd pick up a Lando.
