Veers is a total mudtrooper

Love the mud splatter on the uniform, belt buckle and goggles...

I'm not a trooper freak or an army builder, but this figure and design just really screams Star Wars to me. I see the evolution, I see the remnants sprinkled in other places in the 'future'... and I like it.

The only thing I don't love is the officially licensed Kylo Ren goggles.

They look like what would be inset into a trooper helmet (aside from the bridge) IMO more than Kylo's helmet. I actually can't make that connection all that well despite a few people saying it. If anything they remind me more of Rey's goggles.

If they released more characters I'd be in. This won't have any trouble selling so fingers crossed

Still can't figure out why they are wearing any armor if any shot to it can kill them anyway :dunno

It's great! Kylo lifted them from a Mudtrooper -- his Dad's old uniform no less! Now that's irony. :lol

Ugh.:lol

Kylo should build his own 3PO too. Get a Boys of Brazil thing going.

The memories must've come flooding back for Han...

Except he used to be on the other side doing the shooting/killing FOR the Empire.

Oh, we don't get to see the people he shot though. No wonder he and Finn got on so well. Former soldiers of the Empire who never hurt a fly.

Military fashion. A cool set of armor plus a dose of Zoolander blue steel will get you far in the Empire.:dunno

Finn worked in sanitation. He could handle a broom better than Broom Boy.

Solo added an extra layer to Han's military career. It was told for many years that he'd gone to the Imperial Naval Academy at Carida to become a pilot, and afterwards either deserted or was dismissed for disobeying orders (rescuing Chewie).

Now he enlists in the Navy, gets expelled for disobeying orders and is drafted into a Sven Hassel style (Penal) Panzer Regiment - the 'Mud Jumpers' detachment of the 224th Imperial Armoured Division - as Corporal Han Solo.

(The 'Mud Jumpers' had originally been a group of clone troopers attached to the 224th Division of the Grand Army of the Republic).

Why is sanitation guy in full battle with a weapon? The whole set-up is so phony.

And I know the Han backstory - I'm saying in "Solo" he is seen literally in battle fighting for the Empire, but you never see him shoot anyone, or the group/people they are fighting against.

Much like why they were one in real life. Granted the enemy have weapons able to pierce thru the armor, not all rifles have this ability. Besides, it will always be efficient against deflected shots. If i were to engage on a battlefield, i know i'd rather have minimal protection rather than going totally naked.

Maybe it was to blood him in, and he pu -syed out.

OR

They were running out of dudes for battle and unclogging toilets can be done by droids.

Another Mud Trooper release or not, I see this figure selling out if not before Pre Orders end, then once in hand pics are out. It’s a unique Trooper design that appeals to many SW fans whether they liked the film or not. With more “bad news” surrounding SOLO’s expected box office income, I am not sure if HT will commit to more figures in this line.

I enjoyed the movie, more than the other Disney SW films, so I hope they go a bit deeper into this line.

The bad news is that it could lose $50 million at the box office. Which is bad but not the end of the world. I’m sure home release and merchandise more than covers that.

Considering how much the other Star Wars movies have made and the insane numbers Marvel movies do, that’s not even remotely a significant loss. Especially since I believe they just wrote off the movie before it was released.

It’s a solid movie that’s not game changing but fun. The film and the cast certainly deserved better treatment, both from a marketing perspective and from the stubborn parts of the fanbase.

I hope we’ll get a few more figures for Solo. At least the troopers, with very small production runs. Those always sell. (First Order troopers too - they just made too many).

Darn, missed the eBay 20% off for this guy...

I didn't think you could use it on preorders, but I guess maybe so. I'd be nervous to pay someone on ebay for something that won't ship for another 9 months though.

But I feel your pain - this time I managed to grab the SSC Carbonite Han for 20% off but last time they did it I saw the coupon maybe 20 mins after it expired.:gah:

I meant on eBay, there was a 1 day 20% off anything code on eBay. Bad thing about eBay PO is you got to pay the full amount and Paypal protection will usually expire before the figure is shipped. As a Canadian, the 20% off is really as good as it gets for me lol.

I think he knew you meant eBay.

But an eBay “pre-order” is the same as a purchase. It’s just a pre-order in name only. And it’s on the seller’s word that they actually send you anything when the item is finally released if you’ve lost buyer protection because it’s been too long.

It’s actually against eBay policy to sell an item as a pre-order further out past 30 days I believe.

Even if the seller is trustworthy, I definitely would not recommend buying an item on eBay as a pre-order more than 180 days out (length of PayPal protection). Even with a big discount. You never know what’s going to happen in life between now and then. Something could happen to the item, to the seller, to production, to the company, etc.
