I look forward to the mental gymnastics that will be required on a certain someone’s part when almost all of his prediction is wrong but he still manages to ooze smugness out of every pore in a pus-like form.

Anyway, the cover looks great. I still am somewhat partial to IW Thanos but if any villain deserves to have 2 distinct versions in a collection, it’s him. Wonder if he’ll turn out to have that telephone pole-sized sword as well.

And I always shake my head when people don't see the irony in their own statements. In consecutive sentences, no less! :rotfl

Your post makes no sense actually. I was right and the people confidently predicting Thanos not having armor were completely wrong. Sometimes I think people should not act like butt hurt right wingers. It hurts their ability to read posts and respond in a rational manner

Something worth considering if this image actually does represent how Thanos will appear in the movie - can Hot Toys do justice to the armored look? The first GotG figure is all we can go on for it, and it's not a slam dunk.

That first Thanos was hot toys thinking they could put out a cheap looking action figure with exposed joints all over and no one would complain. I am hoping this time they give Thanos seamless arms like the second Thanos. Hopefully they armor covers the knee joints.

I'd still prefer it with no seams at the elbows, plus HT might give us both types via swap-out arms. The design may present a slight challenge with respect to the shoulder joints (the way the dark padding wraps over the shoulder & down the arm), but I think they'll still look OK and be mostly obscured by the armor.

I'm with you and my guess is that Hot Toys will give us swap out arms with different poses. I prefer that compared to exposed joints.

The EG armor has an exposed elbow, so I would think that improves the odds of a seamless joint even though there’s stuff attached to the rest of the limb, a la Gladiator Hulk.

See my response above. It applies to your kind.

Just to refresh your memory, your statements:

"I always shake my head when people declare with all confidence what they think the movie makers will do when I know they will be proven completely wrong."

"I always knew those reasoning(s) were BS and he would be wearing armor and gauntlet."

Whether or not you're right isn't the point. You mock others for confidently predicting one outcome but then crow about claiming to have always known a different one would occur. Any rational person can see the irony there. Oh and by the way, Thanos's appearance in Endgame is still TBD - that magazine cover doesn't definitively prove anything. But then of course you knew that. :wink1:

The shoulder/armpit area will probably be handled the same way they did with AOU Thor. In terms of the elbows I can't see HT going seamless with this one. Also his arm has a lot going on in terms of the design/outfit that the seam won't be as noticeable unlike the current Thanos which is just bare skin.

Also in regards to the current Thanos, the one arm that is bendable just looks awful when it is bent. I doubt HT will go that route again since the gauntlet on both arms will restrict articulation even more. I would very much prefer a clean, seamless look, however a visible seam is the only way to go I'm afraid.

Nah it will definitely be seamless arms on the new one as well. You forget, HT always takes the easy/most cost-effective way out, and you better believe they will want to reuse those arms that they specially designed for the IW Thanos.

I have the same though and already decided to go with the Punisher version announced last month.
Anyhow, I'm looking forward to this as it looks like tank form what we have seen.

I actually prefer it. We have too many action figure with no emotion on the shelfs.

I agree. If we only get one I want the angry sculpt.

Well...guess we'll find out who's right in 2 years! :lol

I can mock those people because my confidence was proven to be justified. They were completely wrong because there was no way Marvel would miss a chance to sell more toys by changing the look of the figure for the second film.

So what are the odds that HT will troll us and finally release Nebula, but in that horrible cycle dress?

Your expectation that he'll be wearing full armor + gauntlet at some point in the movie will most likely be proven correct, but that doesn't justify derisively mocking people. There's a fine line between bluntness and rudeness. It's sad that you either can't tell the difference or deliberately choose the latter.

Dammit HT what are you doing!? Show us SOMETHING. CMON!!

I am hoping they show something Tuesday so I can see if I can ever get s Thanos figure. I am worried about the armor not covering the under arm area. If the armor doesn't cover where the srms connect to body then I have to pass. Same reason I am passing on Shuri. No way hot toys makes a seamless body for Thanos like they did for wonder woman.
