I might just get ock goblin and tobey when i have the money. Or maybe just tobey and gobby. No room for a NWH display, and I'd be happy with just those 2. I don't have room for much as it is. Only 2 shelves. Shelf one can be batman 89 display and shelf 2 will be the raimi display

Ordering from SSC is just short of £300 for the regular shipped to the UK. Then you throw on another £60-70 for DHL's import charges and you're not a world away from £400 ($485)...for a standard 1/6 figure. Staggering!

I'll be ordering this directly from HK at release.

Went with the Standard (sans base) due to space constraints.

Doubt I will pose Spidey in dynamic poses with the base due to fear of the suit materials deteriorating.

I have the Sandman base from the old Spiderman 3 Symbiote figure somewhere in storage.

I got from BBTS they add extra 15$ on listings bc they offer 4$ flat shipping,so in the end of the day total price is same from them and sideshow as sideshow adds like 20-30$ shipping. This is a case I don't really care about extra few dollars, yes I think it is overpriced but still worth it, I was obsessed with Tobey Spidey as a kid and I'm grateful we are getting this, hot toys and everyone else exactly know that so they try to charge us as much as they can lol

BBTS used to not have this practice of padding their prices to include shipping.

I stopped buying Hot Toys from BBTS a few years ago when they started doing this.

Totally agree. The fans have had a huge positive response for him being brought back into the spotlight. I expect Marvel will not waste having him take a back seat again.

Still not sure which way to go on this. If I get the deluxe that means I have to get the Lizard base as well or it makes no sense.

Maybe I'll just get Tobey, Ock and Goblin for the Raimi verse. If I get Andrew as well I'd need Electro.

Or just get the three Spidey's and no villains.... too many choices!

I'm having the exact same problem. The only thing is, there is no scenario where my wallet is not crying.

I think TM is probably not gonna want to get back in the tights for a solo tbh. They have plenty of Spidey to do and Holland will introduce Miles, so there is no real good reason to have both TM and AG as Spidey imo.

Yeah, are likeness rights what is setting the price so high? Compare him to the Classic Suit Spidey at $260 and the DX19 Batman, with two extra heads, one of which is LED, for $290. This is nuts.

Is it weird that the thing I like most about this figure is the Deluxe base?
The size, pose and detail on that Sandman just looks great to me.

I think TM is probably not gonna want to get back in the tights for a solo tbh. They have plenty of Spidey to do and Holland will introduce Miles, so there is no real good reason to have both TM and AG as Spidey imo.

For me it's either going to be getting all 3 Spideys without the bases/villains or Tobeyy with Goblin and Ock (if the Molina sculpt turns out ok) I really don't have room for those bases and all the villains, if I were a rich man....

So, I am looking for a single Spiderman to complete my Spidey Collection, I so far have a selection of my favourite Spidey villains (If they are affordable in the future I may pick up a Venom, Lizard and Electro) but I need I Spiderman.
I am a single figure per character type of guy (with the sole exceptions of Joker and Batman - so far) so I am looking for a 'definitive' Spidey to go with these villains - would you say this one is the guy to go for?
I like the suit over the Holland ones as it has the more classic red and blue colouring and isn't Iron-Man Junior in aesthetic. TBH I am not fond of Holland in general, not sure why as I think he is perfectly fine in the role but he is definitely my least favourite live-action Spidey.
I am actually quite drawn to the Sandman base - but WOW is it expensive!
I was thinking either the Maguire, Garfield or PS4 Classic suit Spidey....
Which do you think would go best with my collection.
