Yeah it seems a bit surreal that's possible now. Though for me even if they weren't interconnected I'd still display them along with other superheroes and 'make believe' they do team up

I was about to turn 12. My oldest sister took me. Here we are, thousands of dollars later.

To be fair, they brought home Batman 89 when I was less than a year old and that probably put me on this path more than anything.

This feels weird to say, but I think I've finally kicked the Hot Toys addiction after 7 years in the game...

I thought I wanted these figures, but I kinda don't care anymore...

They totally missed the hype train and then the figures were kinda underwhelming.

I'm also slowly transitioning out but I am in for these Spider-Man things.

Hardly anything new interests me at all. Most of it will be in the bargain bin too. We'll see what DS brings but I'm underwhelmed with most of the leaks except for maybe 1 or 2.

But yeah I have to agree, what with 2 year waits now before figures get in our hands. it's next to impossible to recapture that initial enthusiasm. That and I'm running out of room lol. Given how many Spideys I already have, the TM and AG releases will have to completely blow me away. Let's just say I'm not holding my breath.

That's on the studio for keeping everything close to the chest and not releasing any of the concept art to companies. All companies, even Hasbro, were in the dark.

Once the solicitations are up for the figures, I think the hype will return.

Wait wait wait wait….then when you finally get it, it goes on your shelf and…..that’s it. I’m bored of waiting 2 years to put something on a shelf.

Their production times and delays REALLY kills a lot of the steam that they have. I've grown used to it after all these years but it's now become a case of

"Oh that's cool...I'll wait 2 years to see if I still give a damn about the figure when it actually releases."
