Victor's country is next!

Latveria changes location every week. They took Namor from me, so now I'm proclaiming Latveria as a Med country next to Croatia. Victorio Fatalis should be played by Ricardo Scarmacio.

Oh, who am I kidding, I never get what I want with these things...

Disney Star Wars has been terrible for me. The Prequels were bad enough, but at least there was some lightsaber action. Klown Kathy is an abomination. But people keep buying and watching SW, so why do anything different when you are in the black? People are going to buy those atrocious AOTC figures.

Namor is a strange situation. Maybe he will win you over. I wasn't much of an Ant-Man fan, but the first one made me like the character. Downey made Iron Man better for almost everyone. But I only really like about half of the MCU. I rewatched Ragnarok and it worse than my first viewing.

Those are from a deleted scene, but do sum up the movie rather well.

Maybe with casting there is more to it than what we know and certain perfect people just don't want the role or to commit for multiple entries.

DisneyWars killed the brand for me. I keep up for giggles and just grab the Jedi/Sith dollies.

The Namor guy could still deliver a good performance, I don't know anything about his acting abillity. Whenever I search him on the internet I get a bunch of articles of him going after "racism in South America". I've seen some clips of Narcos and that's it. Still, these are capeflicks and the physical component is just as, if not more, important than the quite ridiculous scripts. And if we compare Numor with Namor:
  • He's not hot.
  • He's not statuesque.
  • He won't have the ankle wings, elf ears or anything tied to the GrecoRoman version of the character.
So we're left with a pudgy 40 YO manlet being an arrogant leader and... That's it. He might even try to tap into the "muh people" angle, but that's not enough without the juxtaposition. That's not Namor. Characters are more than just some basic traits, they're the entire package. Thus, all I'm praying for ATM is that he gets a full body costume on a normal ~6ft body, so that I'll be able to stick a Keanu head on top and play pretend...

The more these things keep going the more they find ways to disappoint me...

Sounds like you'd have the same feeling sooner or later anyway, so it wouldn't matter if they put them up for PO 4 months ago or 4 months from now.
Probably...I just have more resolve not to PO now. By the way, as difficult as it is to explain this hobby to likeminded folks on this board, it's no surprise that my wife constantly scratches her head... :)

Tbh I’m moving away from pre-ordering now anyway, there’s not much point. Figures rarely sell out quickly and retailers never seem to fulfill preorders in any particular order anyway.

I’m at the point where I’m paying the cost of a figure in payment plans every month anyway so I may as well just buy a figure a month instead :lol

Ha, imagine trying to explain to someone your hypothetical Green Lantern shelf, and how you need Cyborg Superman, who's not really Superman who's a Cyborg, because of how he led Hal to become Parallax, who's not really THE Parallax, and how you could squeeze Luthor in there but then it creates a Superman hole however you're not a big Superman fan to buy him, and that's before getting into the Rainbow Corps. And every doll costs 300€. And that's Display 1 of ...10 (?).

Boy, I sure hope nobody has had that conversation with their SO. Heh, it sure would be embarassing for that fellow haha.

You all old as hell.
Awww cmon man why say that 😂

I turned 56 last month so I was 36 when Spiderman came out 😱 I can’t believe it.
I have only been collecting since about 2017 or 2018 so maybe I can consider myself sort of “new” at least in that regard.

Hell who am I kidding I have a daughter in college already …I’m old :)

Feels like yesterday doesn’t it? Lol

I know! How time flies, yet it feels like it's going at a slow pace. o_O

Much respect Omega! :bow

I was early on in elementary school when I saw Spider-Man (2002) :google :ROFLMAO:

Yeah I agree you're relatively "new" to collecting, I think I started avidly collecting around that time too!
