[...] Really am loving these two :rock [...]

I almost thought it'd wear off, but every time I look at my set, I'm hyped. Granted, this character is the reason I got into collecting in the first place, so I'm biased...but they really are a knock-out release. We've seen Shadow, regular...I'd guess Sandtroopers are next, but wonder if they'll squeeze Han & Luke in before year's end?

So are these going to be around for awhile, like is HT going to keep these available since they are so essential to the movies or once they're gone, they're gone?

I want to grab a single, but don't know if I can swing it financially at this time.

If Sideshow only starts shipping them in August, you can bet they'll be around through the end of the year.

I'm confused on how SSC fulfills flex orders when the figure starts shipping months in advance...I wanna put this order in through flex but I'm afraid to be left out when they start shipping and I'm still on a flex plan...lol can someone with experience on this shed some guidance on my concern?

just waiting on my reward points to kick in. Ill be getting this bad boy for 110.00

See, they ain't clones under there.....

Wor-Gar what SW figures are you collecting. I was going to have a small core group but after R2 I'm about to get the Tauntaun, Stormtroopers, Han/Chewie and Hoth Luke and Han. I don't like that I feel compelled to get two Hans. I feel like bad things are about to happen. I just impulse bought a Jumbo Kenner AT-AT Driver which doesn't fit with the high end figures at all. Help.

Star Wars always causes problems. For my first few years of 1/6th collecting I swore not to get any Star Wars stuff because I knew what would happen. Then I ended up commissioning Hurricane for a Vader, and a year later Sideshow announced it was doing high end Star Wars figures. I knew I was doomed.

So here we are, 10 years later, and HT is the new doom.

I'm pretty certain I will be canceling Hoth Han and Luke unless they are extraordinary. With prices what they are, I'm trying to pare down collection to core characters from only OT, and mostly ANH. Hoth is my favorite style of clothing and gear, but Star Wars to me is Luke Tatooine, Princess Leia and Han in that vest. I'm going all in with HT ANH figures... at least that's my decision today...

Not sure what happens if A) Sideshow blows me away with Hoth, or B) Hot Toys enters the Hoth arena.

That's exactly what gets me! Empire is SO my favorite but ANH has all the icons. Kind of like you my favorite looks are mostly from ESB but having *just* ESB almost makes me feel like I've got their second tier representations, even though it's from the better film and arguably designs as well. But having doubles of people from ANH and ESB feels like too much because 1. They were back to back movies therefore the actors/characters didn't age that much, just got new outfits and 2. If I get ANH and ESB then it just feels weird to have 2/3 of a trilogy and I might as well get the main figures from ROTJ and then I could easily see myself ending up with a cluttery display of 30-50 figures. "Well I can't leave out Jabba's palace, let me get a few aliens from there, I can't have the Emperor and only *one* Royal Guard, that'd be weird..." and so on.

Further complicating the matter is that I just have a good feeling about TFA and I know I'll want to get some figures from it if it turns out as good as the trailer is indicating. And if I get TFA then I feel like there'd be nice symmetry with ANH and TFA. Luke, Han, and Leia at their youngest and most iconic juxtaposed with their older and super experienced counterparts. Have Vader on the one side and Tri-Saber guy on the other. Classic ANH Stormie next to one of those new dudes from the trailer. That sounds cool to me, maybe do 8 from ANH and 8 from TFA. Or 12 and 12 to mirror the original number of Kenner figures. Sounds good but...Empire Strikes Back. :(

Yep. Took me a long time to shake the ol' Empire. And if this Hoth Han sculpt is terrific then I'll be back arguing with my teenage self. But I just don't have the room to collect all the main heroes outfits. If you get all of Luke, Leia and Han's main outfits you end up with 12 figures right there, before anyone else.

Doing the first Star Wars as a display is 7 heroes as it is, with out Luke pilot or trooper. Then you have villains. It's still going to be a massive display just from the one film. I'll like follow HT into Empire for Fett and Yoda, and into Jedi for the Emperor (wouldn't mind an updated Jabba by HT either actually).

So what have I got as a Star Wars display:

Luke
Han
Leia
Ben
Chewbacca
R2
3PO
Vader
Stormtrooper
Boba Fett
Yoda
Emperor
Jabba
Snowtrooper
Scout trooper
Sandtrooper
(would love Tarkin is anybody ever does him)

That's 16. About a whole detolf (Jabba on top).

I've got a lot of Sideshow figures to pack up.
