I take it this will replace the solo and chewie pack then as people have mentioned their flex payments being moved. No confirmation of a move on sideshows site though which means a potential significant outlay for April/May time

It's cold, but come on, it could be a lot colder. We're just used to not having to dress appropriately. People wonder how I can be out skiing because it's cold - because I'm geared up for it - trust me, I hate the cold (and excessive heat) as much as the next guy. I'm a Goldilocks kind of guy, I prefer it just right. ;) But you do what you gotta do.

That said, I won't be taking my probe droid and Snowtrooper outside for photos as much as I'd love to. hehe.

Oh, it's definitely been worse but that doesn't make this good. At least it's almost over. And yeah...no outdoor photoshoots for me.

I'd have loved to be at Lake Louise even if it were -6. Nice. Two of my friends were there last year for a ski trip - I couldn't make that one unfortunately.
Indeed, we've been in much colder weather but it was a real treat to be able to walk around the lake in February without gloves. Temperature was just perfect.

Received an updated e.mail advising both the single and the set are expected in March/April, now. It's tempting to have them shipped early but think I'll be sticking to my original flexpay plan with delivery in August.

So i take it we CAN put a Luke or Han HT head on this then?

With modifications according to people with the troopers (mentioned some pages back, including a photo of one of the heads balanced on the trooper's neck post).

I was reading no mods, huh. You mean it don't snap in place?

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned multiple times that no, you can't just click a head in place. Scroll back to get the details, but probably the neck and post.

I received my 2 pack last week from Budgetstark. He was also able to send out my single trooper right before the Chinese New Year. Received it just today!

These troopers are ready to pose and display right out of the box. Didn't really have to futz or mod anything unlike Sideshow's MESS.

I was worried about the ankles (from earlier pics), but the ankle joints can be hidden easily (just give it a try, people).

Sure, the Marmit helmet is still the best, but Hot Toys really comes close. Hopefully, there Sandtrooper's helmet is up to par with Marmit's.

And here's the explanation from Stealth:

I will say the neck adapter doesn't fit if it did he would look a little long necked. The opening of the neck hole is slightly smaller than the sculpts neck so its held in place fine. The black neck piece, i pulled away from the helmets neck joint, its only held in place by a small amount of hot toys glue and sits back in place fine without it once helmet back on.

i just though i'd show people the potential

This is what I got from that:

1. Neck peg is non-standard size barbell
2. Neck is much longer than those on human bodies - you can see the cup inside the helmet is way up top, not at the opening/bottom like it is on a human head.

Maybe it's as simple as popping off the default neck, but maybe the barbell under that is also non-standard. The third sentence in Stealth's reply totally lost me too though.

Nice pics! The HT helmet's a slight improvement over the SSC trooper's helmet sculpt but importantly, it sells for less than the SSC stormies were going for, and is a better body and has better fitted armor.

Thanks for reposting. That looks really good; the "wet hair" sculpt and expression works perfectly for the trash compactor.

I'll try that one on mine when it arrives from SSC at the end of this year.:slap

I guess more and more people will be trying it out soon. So we'll see how easy/hard it is.
