It seems odd for Hot Toys to only produce a relatively small number of Stormtroopers since they are in such high demand. Have they said if they will be resupplying retailers?

They thought they made enough but didn't account for canadaclone.

I just think they would be able to continuously sell these if they kept them in production (for at least some significant amount of time). So it doesn't make a lot of sense to stop production when money is sitting on the table.

No, some are shorties and some are tall.

But yes, there are 18 frickin' troopers there.

2 shorties, (second to our left of Vader, front row; then third to the right of Vader, back row).

Back row far right are too obscured actually. Could be a sneaky shortie over there too.

That's not possible as I traded a single for one of CC's shorties from a 2-pack.

I know now the error of my ways. I see there are a couple of short ones at least, when looking closer. I was going by the words of canadaclone when he said he didn't want any short troopers. He even posted a picture of a shorty before, forgot about that.

Just setting up my second HT stormie. These are great figures, but I do wish the helmet matched more closely the look of the helmet you see most of the time in ANH. Maybe they went for the "hero" look not the stunt, but to me it doesn't really capture ANH stormies that well.

Also, a few armor pieces seem a little off. The thigh armor looks too short (esp the one on the left above the bumpy knee part) when compared to most screen grabs - maybe the hero outfit was different?

I think for people who missed out passed due to other concerns or just wish they had bought more I would bet that if they get the licence for it HT will re-release these in time for Rogue One next year so no worries.
