Yeah, seems sort of silly to even ask about. What would explain being a very slightly different colour aside from the batch? These are painted so shouldn't yellow from UV and I doubt smoke would be entirely consistant from head to toe. Stuff like this has encouraged me to sell as gift whenever possible, even if it means making less. Don't want to have to deal with collectors imagined problems with a figure that I know is mint.

Jays a good dude, guys. I think he just wanted a second opinion. I just wanted to make sure I cleared the air on my side. Pun not intended [emoji12]. My transactions on here have always been pleasant.

Exactly, nothing environmental. This is the reason why you should always mix multiple containers of paint together if you're using more than one to paint a room. There's a very real possibility for slight differences in base and tint.

I'm sure and no disrespect meant to him but I just had a recent transaction where the buyer was quizing me about stuff that was stock on the figure and it made me glad the transaction was gift. People are super picky buying new from SSC, let alone buying aftermarket at potentially even higher prices, it seems.

That's a good tip. We'll be repainting soon, so I'll keep that in mind.

I have so much stuff I'd like to sell but its for that exact reason -- the type of person who collects -- that gives me pause. The last thing I want to deal with is arguing with a grown man over a picture of a microscopic "blemish" that I simply overlooked because to me its inconsequential.

I recently bought another single Stormtrooper and I noticed this one wasn't as white as my other one. Seller says it wasn't displayed in sunlight nor was it was smoking home. Any of you guys experience this?

Could you take a picture of both of them? Maybe your first trooper is the anomaly :dunno

If you decide to sell these boards are your best option. eBay is an absolute nightmare.

I imagine that's true.

But ebay you do run the possibility of people overpaying.

Here, no one is going to overpay, everyone's well-aware of the value, and on top of that everyone here is looking to buy under-market for bragging rights.

It's a tough call, that's for sure. Depends on the specific item I suppose. Niche items are best sold here. More widely appealing items I think I would risk ebay for the chance of a better price.

Amen to that, every time I ship something I wait with cross fingers it doesn't get destroyed by the post office and the buyer is not an insane condition freak. The poster people are the worst. They seem to relish rushging to Facebook to post a pic of some microscopic wrinkle in the edge of the paper that you would never see if framed. The up side is that I can get discounted examples for a heavy discount; I only buy 2D stuff I intend to frame and hang so this helps me.

I've sold tons of 3 3/4" figures without much worry as not much can happen to them damage wise (loose of course) and at worst I'm out $10. Selling the higher end stuff gives me anxiety though. As I list on eBay I notice things that never bothered me or I never noticed on the shelf, but I don't want some collector shocked by a tiny mark of some sort.

Half the time I email the buyer after the sale to make sure they noticed the issues I listed and I always take photos of these issues to be safe.

A complete loss is obviously better, no photos to send. But just make sure everything is insured and tracked. Its been a long time since I had to file a claim, but the buyer was happy to have his money back and I was happy to have the fair market value in my pocket.

Yeah retail prices seem to be up. the website here in Sweden that has two 2-packs left has raised their price with about $55 since I bought my 2-pack.

Wow they just raised the prices $40. Like I said I'm happy with the 2pk don't think I need any more nor am I building a ST army. I'm not into scalping figures either, I buy what I love for MY collection. With that said, I hope the Luke and Han ST give the helmet on option.

It's a bit surprising to me that Hot Toys doesn't just continue making Storm Troopers. They appeared in all three films and Hot Toys is still doing Original Trilogy characters so I'd think it'd be easy to keep reissuing them especially since they seem to have sold decently.

Well technically these current figures have the grey and black "teeth" on their helmets which designates them as those from the original (1977) Star Wars only. So they could make "Bespin" and "Endor" ST variants which looked slightly different (from ANH and each other.)

Don't buy what's left at the last minute just so you can win. :)

Bets off Pixel, we have been doublecrossed. I now refuse to win even by cheating, bbts decided to take the potential profits for themselves. Have they ever raised their prices above retail like this before?
