The helmets in those screen shots even look like they are a different material... they shine less than the body armor...and even look to be a different shade of white...not to upset any uniformity fans out there...

The armour was all over the place in the film. Sometimes one or the other would appear more yellow in comparison, or other shades depending on the lighting. Watching the Blu-ray again the other week I noticed a lot of non-conformity in colours and trooper heights.

Battle droids are so awesome. Too bad George couldn't have replaced the stormtroopers with battle droids for the special editions.

Guys the 70s were a tough time for extras--far fewer people in the world population-wise. Finding a dozen people the same height was an extreme challenge. Far different times. AOTC wouldn't have been possible back then.

Find me the quoted evidence that states that all Stormtroopers were meant to be of identical height.

Even if they were all clones from a single source (Temuera Morrison), they would all only be 5' 7".
