I'm keenly aware of those as well, like the visor and the welds for example, but the face makes the most impact since human brains are basically fine tuned to recognize tiny facial details, while it's more forgiving with nonhuman objects. That's just biology.
Plus I want to display my Rex without his helmet, which as a result obviously makes that a priority for me personally. Gotta pick your battles! The armor can be someone else's battle if they choose, my attention is focused elsewhere.

OCD's a b**ch:lol

As usual unless it's crying about kathleen, trips has nothing to contribute
zero response to the conversation about the figure and how he was clearly wrong, but plenty of ill-mannered **** to talk with his friends list
if you're more interested in talking crap than talking about the figure then I'm no longer interested in indulging a continual forum malcontent like you

Wow. That animated gif is some advance level nit-pickery! :lol

Indeed :lol. Making that wasnt part of the plan but apparently i had to make things really obvious for the runt in the back of the class who wanted to argue about it.
Sure it's nit picking. If it's an insignificant detail to you I cant much disagree, that's just a matter of opinion and that's fine. I don't expect everyone to have the same priorities as me. If someone doesn't care they're free to disregard. But someone claiming it's incorrect is a different thing and is easily addressed.

I'm REALLY tempted to get Rex, but then I'd want to get Cody who would cost more than retail if I were to get him now and space is also a bigger issue than price. He'd also be the only one I'm getting from the CW so he'd have to be put with the other ROTS figures. Hmmm.

I think Rex would fit in just fine with the ROTS figures! Even though he's from different media, he's from the same era. Ultimately in canon it's all the same time period. Rex spent plenty of time with Anakin and attended some of the same battles with Obi-wan. I don't think you necessarily have to draw a hard line between Clone Wars and ROTS, Rex was still in this armor while anakin roasted those younglings.
I apologize to your wallet for making this case.

Even without the hairline looking a bit off, it would have been very difficult to make Rex's hairstyle and color look really good on a hyper realistic Temuera Morrison sculpt.

It works on the animated Rex because it's very stylized. It doesn't look bad on the Sideshow Phase 2 Rex because that sculpt is also stylized.

I'm all for the realistic style and I'm glad they went that route, but it's not a hairstyle that would be super flattering on the real Temuera so I kind of just feel like it is what it is.

I think the color is probably the hardest part to pull off when making this realistic, because it's a very unrealistic color for Temuera and usually dyed hair is longer than a buzz cut, which further makes it stranger.

Difficult but it's not impossible. With a more accurate Temuera head sculpt, more accurate (darker) skin tone, and some airbrush blending around the edges of the buzz cut, the head looks a lot more like Rex and a lot less like a balding albino clone:

Was hoping when I woke up this morning that we got "final product" photos. Instead a few days ago we got another Tony Stark.

Waiting for Rex to arrive. He and Ahsoka (TCW version) are two of my most anticipated releases.
