I swear you guys are never satisfied with anything. It's a nice looking figure.

Middle aged men love to rant about how much they hate a children's movie for some reason. I don't quite understand it.

:exactly:

it just looks wrong to me... i don't know... maybe i'll pick it up one day as a legends luke... i wish i could like the movie like others do, but i simply don't... one of my co workers and i came to the realization... that we will never get to see our childhood heroes again... that the real sequels were written in books that we read in high school... even if they did get everything right in this sequel trilogy... it wouldn't have mattered... it was too late... none of our dreams involved a 70+ year old Han Solo... a Luke past 60 that gave up... some villain named Snoke who will probably never be explained... its okay, they are just movies... but its still hard... i've lost all of my family over the last 5 years... putting on the original trilogy is sometimes one of the best ways I can remember them... i lost my mom two months before Force awakens... it was pretty horrible watching my child hood hero getting murdered on the big screen by his son no less, while trying to cope with everything else going on in my life, lol... It was like wtf? and then she hugs Rey? omg... how depressing :):) but in the end they are just movies... and nothing will ever take away from the original trilogy... at least they make me appreciate the prequels a whole lot more :):) i still have hope for 9, not sure why, i'm sure it is being written to address all the things we are complaining about.. at least lucas did what he wanted, i can respect that alot more now... i don't know... no way they wanted something this decisive... no way they wanted to alienate a huge part of their fan base, they gambled with rian johnson and i think they gambled wrong... anyways where is my death star trooper:):)

The HS would actually be okay to me if the hair wasn't so terrible. Needs to be way less slicked back.

Yeah, the hair on this has the same "straight out of the shower"/"quick comb-through" look the HT TFA Luke had.

It's clear that HT has really struggled with thinning or greying hair on older characters in both sculpt and paint apps. The TFA Han had that weird gold look. Here they at least had it easier because his hair is dyed dark (HT constantly gives OT Leia and Han black hair,) but the hair sculpt here is probably the key problem. That... and the kinda "Rian Hamill" hybrid face.:lol

Sometimes.....I wonder what compels........people to write...like this. :lol

Star Wars ennui.:dunno

I’m really looking forward to this figure. The one thing I do hope they change is the hair sculpt. They did a great job with Anakin’s hair sculpt. I like how it looks so natural and hangs in front of his face a little. I hope they fix Luke’s hair so it covers more of his forehead too.

The Luke sculpt looks like Dave Grohl

I can fully relate to this.

My dad passed away from cancer days before TFA came out at the cinema so I found the Han Solo part deeply disturbing.
My favourite childhood memory was going to see ROTJ on my 7th birthday with my parents.

If the loss of Han had lead into a really gripping and fulfilling trilogy then I would have accepted it. But TLJ was simply awful. Arguably the worst film I have ever seen and that is heart breaking. Star Wars has never been a children's movie for me. They are life affirming movies. No films have came close to the majesty of the OT imo.

I have just chosen to ignore the ST (I wish I didn't have £1k plus worth of TFA Hot Toys that I bought during the pre hype, though I never imagined that could get it so badly wrong).

I really enjoyed Rogue One and Solo though.

I have also decided to pass on this figure. £240 for one of my favourite characters who was treated dreadfully by Ruin Johnson.
I want the Death Star Trooper asap!

So...

- The HS is s****.... checked
- I hate this movie... checked
- The base has foot prints from Luke ... checked
- The hair is not accurate.... checked

And believe me, I really hate RJ and his movie, but this Luke works perfect as Master Jedi on an EU.

Sounds like a definite purchase![emoji16][emoji1303]

You really gotta wonder what Di$ney is thinking with the new trilogy.. I mean look at the Marvel movies, they keep building on and lifting their mythology up, while that's not exactly the case with the mouse house. Talk about dropping the ball and wasted opportunities.

Anyway to stay on topic, cool figure, might pick up this or Rotj Luke, I just want a decent Mark Hamill lookalike.

Why criticize Disney and not Lucasfilm?

I find it so pathetic some of you hate other actual people because you didn't like their fictional Star Wars movie. I can understand hating a movie - but hating a dude you've never even met just because you don't like his movie (and let me guess, the way he called the people being racist to Kelly manbabies) is absurd..

No wonder the Star Wars fan base is the butt of many jokes. And considering the majority of the people on this website with comments like this are 30-40+, that's pretty lame.

Hate a movie (or any fictional work) all you want, don't hate a person for something like a movie. I'm pretty sure any of us that actually met Rian at SWC Orlando in the overnight queue can all agree he's a nice dude.

I love coming on here to talk about figures and whatnot, but I've been avoiding it more recently because you can't come into a thread without a grown *** man crying about how they hate Kathleen Kennedy or Rian Johnson and "something, something, agenda". Grow up, people.

I'll give you concise honesty. Star Wars was something I really enjoyed when I was a kid growing up in the 80s. In the present day I would like to look forward to seeing new SW movies but I can't after Kennedy and Johnson trashed the franchise with an agenda. And they knew exactly what they were doing, so yeah I don't like them. The end.
