While this is another slightly-off helmet sculpt, it still looks awesome overall. And yeah, you have to wonder how many of these have been produced. The bean counters probably do look at all those unsold ST stormies and go "well, stormies don't sell well" so scale back the OT stormies as well.



Derek, why didn't you grab one of those boxes off the top and run instead of snapping a pic? Looks like delivery guy was inside getting a signature.

I have the first set and a 1/6 Bandai trooper, so no real need for these but they look nice. I prefer the total clean look as well. But I do want another backdrop; am thinking about the deluxe and getting rid of the trooper later. I'll wait and see.

I definitely want to check one of these guys out, but even with the super low HK prices I have no interest in overpaying even $10. I already have the Luke/Han stormtroopers so I just know they wouldn't be all that exciting the way a new figure typically is.

Couldn’t stand it, just put an order in for one regular version. I was planning to wait until it was in stock at BBTS but I don’t wanna risk it.

I know it’s not a perfect match but it’s the closest we’ve gotten (and may ever get?*) to an ESB stormie and I can’t wait to put him with the ESB Vader. I’m really hoping Hot Toys does some sort of ESB Luke (either Dagobah landing, Jedi training, or bespin reissue/2.0) in the coming months. I’m trying to build a little ESB 1/6 focus shelf as a kind of centerpiece to my Star Wars collection and I plan on populating it with Vader, this trooper, Luke, Yoda and R2.

*lets be realistic, we all know an ESB trooper is guaranteed to show up eventually.

Looks like they cleaned this one up -- doesn't look as wonky as an ROTJ Stormtrooper now.

Just got it, first impression:

Maybe it’s just me, but the torso looks a bit wider, it looks more like a human being in a costume, I like it quite a bit. Maybe they just should’ve called this one the realistic looking slightly weathered ESB Stormtrooper.
