Rocket was the best character but her figure would flop so bad, probably worse than Silk Spectre.

Babydoll will sell cause she's a hot blonde in her school girl outfit which is appealing worldwide. Plus she's the poster girl of the film.

Amber will sell cause she's hot as hell and she's asian.

Sweet Pea has the best chance after those two, imo.. but I think her figure would flop as well.

Serious question, Why do you think Rocket will flop? If you (in general) see the movie you know that she kicks the most ass next to Babydoll.

Amber is my least wanted. Didn't think she was nearly as hot as the others and hardly did anything IMO. And not being racist or at all discriminatory, but Amber will probably get made b/c she's Asian and HT HQ is in Hong Kong. Just a theory, please don't go all ca-razy on me

Amber was the pilot--in addition to the vehicles (one pretty neat one I might add), she also did something pretty critical at the end of the movie. The most "do nothing" character IMO was Blondie. But even she got an interesting scene or two to showcase her skills.

The reason she's asian is why I think everyone is saying HT will make her, in addition to the fact that she was the only other one on the announcment poster with Babydoll. I personally think HT picked up this license solely for the fact they could make an Amber. It's not racist... It's rare when you get a hot, kick ass, asian in a super hero-ish scifi/action flick.

Can't speak for meanie but I know him well enough, he probably thinks she'll flop for the same reason I do - she's the least sexually attractive of the girls and the fact that she was kick ass doesn't matter since most people didn't like the flick.

I wasn't counting Blondie :lol she definitely was the most "do nothing" character, and figured she doesn't even have a chance of being made. But I do think she's hotter than Amber and would prefer a figure of Blondie over Amber just based off of looks and not how they did in the movie. Again, I need to be clearer in my posts :slap sorry about that
But, to me, seeing her (Amber) flying a plane and controlling the other "vehicle" wasn't as entertaining as the ground fight scenes and doesn't warrant a placement above Rocket or Sweet Pea in terms of who should come first in producton of the figures. but that's a personal preference :peace

you make a vary valid point there! I have to agree with you

Oh yeah, I agree that Baby, Sweet Pea, and Rocket were the 3 "central" characters to the story. I do hope they get made.

I really have no clue what HT's goals are in picking up this license, nor do I know which ones they are going to make, if they make any of these figures at all. It seems like Baby Doll would be a natural choice to start/launch with. However, I think HT has a lot on their plate right now what with trying to show up EB in this odd HK toy maker whizzing contest and juggling a bunch of licenses that for whatever reason have priority. One thing that has become immediately clear is that SP is just not a priority line for them at the moment. They probably have something in process, whether it's a sculpt or just ideas on a paper napkin so to speak, but basically nothing they can show. Their current lack of hype just makes me believe that this is a project that isn't going to turn out an actual product until maybe months, perhaps years down the line.

yea i began to come to that realization. I think HT kind put themselves in a tightspot b/c they announced so many licenses and new figures that now things that could sell a lot and make money are having to be cut short b/c HT has other things lined up. Like TRON Legacy could've been a great line with amazing figures with light suits but HT seems to have left that one behind as well. Many collectors what Sucker Punch figures not b/c of the movie but b/c of a lack of female figures in their collection, and HT could use that to their advantage but seems like they aren't

So far HT has only given us this, which i'm happy with. :lol

When they come, how long in between each release, and if they both come depends on who knows what. Personally, i'm hoping both are announced and shown in person by the time SDCC rolls around.

The movie's premiere is done and there is still nothing on these? You think HT might have learned from Watchmen.

Rooted would be the best for all of em. I could see them trying to do Amber with sculpted but she'd look odd next to Babydoll or whomever else if they had rooted. I'd like them all to be consistent.

Actually I disagree with all of you. Sweet Pea is hotter than all the other girls. :)

Deal with it boogerheads. :nana:

Rooted would definitely be the way to go me thinks. And if they could give Silken Floss rooted hair, I think Amber wouldn't be too difficult since they share similar hair styles.

Do you guys want the figures to have sculpted or rooted hair ?

I think Baby Doll for sure needs to have rooted hair. Amber might need molded if they include the helmet she wore in the film. Rooted hair can get messed up easily if there's a removable helmet involved. Rocket had very short hair, and that might require molded hair as well, depending on how HT wants to approach it. I tend to prefer rooted hair myself, but a short styled cut like Rocket's might be more work than HT wants to put into it.

I'd also like to see rooted on Sweet Pea, but she does wear a hood sometimes, and that might make HT go with the "stereoscopic" molded as a result as well.

Sculpter hair. If it was rooted it would look like a barbie.

Always preferred sculpted. It lasts a lot longer.

I would make an exception if they did it on these though. The only thing I really ask is that they not have Sheva Alomar noodle arms. They looked terrible even before they broke. The joints on her prototype were fine, and never should have been changed. Rubber bodies are dumb.

I'll buy any girl they release. Sweet Pea was my #1 in the promo era, but now that it's out, Baby stole the show and I'll be happy if she's all we get.

While we're "wishlisting", I'll just add that I would prefer jointed arms/legs for all figures unless they make a really big technological leap in the rubber body technology. I don't care for the Sarah Connor body and it's stiff, rubber arms that can't hardly pose at all.

But definitely keep the rubber torso, 'cause I like belly buttons. :D
