Finally saw the film. Amber is still my favorite and I still think we'll only get her and Baby doll out of this line.

Loved Baby doll, Sweet Pea and Rocket as well. Blondie was meh. I don't think Rocket or Blondie have a chance of getting made. Sweet Pea maybe, depending on if the other two females sell well enough, or if the film is a big box office hit (which i'm not expecting). If she comes, i'll be surprised... and even though I did like her character a lot - I'm not sure if I'd even buy her.

Amber better come with a removable hat so she can wear her awesome helmet (loved it). She better come with a lollipop too.

Isnt Hot Toys usually pretty quick with whats popular if they are going to do it. What comes to mind is Watchman and resident evil 5. Those characters were out early. Thor and Odin are already on preorder and the move isnt even out yet. Hmmm

Or maybe they're waiting for the US audience/critic reaction. You'd think forsure something would have shown by now. At least an early rough shot of a sculpt. HT's seems more and more "careful" with each new movie release they do.

sometimes that happens ( tron) but with ghost rider, it's because they did not get the marvel master films license until LONG after the movie.

Even if I dont end up liking the movie, if they make a good figure Im going to get one. I have one female in my collections and that is not enough. Besides, I really like the designs for the costumes of the movie. I really like the aesthetic of the conglomeration of period and contemporary costumes. Kudos to the design team.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think I've read somewhere that they are trying a new strategy with the Thor figures, by trying to release them the moment the film comes out... So if they can realise this strategy then Thor himself should be released in a little over a month.

I'm thinking this film could be pretty big in Asia. There are mechs, dragons fighting airplanes, steampunk German soldiers, robots... lots of stuff that is used in manga animation films a lot. If this film is really big in Asia, then we might see more than just 2 figs.

that's true. I didn't think about that, but now that you mention it, it does have lots of typical anime/manga elements to it. Lets hope hope for a good big reaction from Asia

I think the model we should look at is The Spirit - they tried to get those out pretty quick - perhaps because they knew the film would bomb. If we get more than Babydoll and Amber I'd be surprised. And Sweetpea is the only other one I'd really want.

and Im pretty sure Suckerpunch will do better then The Spirit.

I just got back from seeing it and I don't get the hate. The movie was not bad at all. The things that got ripped by "critics": dialog, characters, story...I've seen worse in movies that got better reviews or box office success. Ah well, I enjoyed it anyways.

I want Baby Doll, Sweet Pea, and Amber.

If they make all the characters, hell, I'd buy them all. >_<

I think critics were more harsh on it since it was written/created by the director. It doesn't deserve a 20% or whatever it got on RT, should atleast be a 50% imo.
